Blogging, I'm doing it wrong.
I thought my neighbors would think I'm some kind of hippy for putting up a tapestry over my sliding glass door to keep in the heat. Now I'm glad I did it, my apartment is warm and the heat is turned down pretty low.

Oh Friendster.. you're still around? I just got an email with the subject "Introducing BIG Changes at Friendster!" I wanted to check out the changes so I clicked on the link they included which was broken. Way to fail Friendster! Now I have to debate correcting the URL or ignoring their emails like usual.

I fixed the URL. It wasn't anything fantastic. Additionally, three times while on there I got a malware invite to download 'anti virus' software. Yeah.. basically not going back there for quite some time.

My favorite new friendster feature is their 3-D profile space where instead of having a profile page you can have a 3d room people can explore.. put pictures and posts on the wall and a queue of youtube videos on the big screen television. But then when you get it all done, the whole thing shows up in a TINY postage-stamped sized thumbnail on your profile page. WTF. Fail Fail fail.

heh. yes, i had this same experience with the links in the e-mail just now. i was like, oh, dear, friendster...

also, every single link in that e-mail was broken and doesn't even give you a 404 page on the site because it goes to http://www.friendster.com%2/ -- which doesn't exist. :P

Veo: You went further than I did. I saw the 3d stuff, skimmed through it, but didn't bother with it. Edythe: Yeah, if you change the %2 to %20 it seems to work. but yeah, major failure on Friendster's part.

Pretty sure someone in my apartment is going to complain about how loud I'm playing music. but fuck it, music is what keeps me moving when packing up shit. And it isn't all that loud and I've decided to stay clear of much electronic music so it isn't lots of repetitive beats. I love/hate moving. yay/ugh

Yay! Got some boxes packed and some more stuff organized for packing. Now bedtime so I can get up at 4am for work.
First pre-meeting Google Wave meeting at work. It's weird to see 5 people typing on a Wave at the same time and not just to goof around on it. We'll see if this actually helps our in-person meetings be more efficient.
