Ed, just social bookmarked my site as per you on 30DC video. Twitter wouldn't work for some reason. All I could get was the background. Do you have an alternate to use in its place? Thanks... Mike
Hello, U can do what I did and do it from your address bar - Beage
Could you please explain how in more detail? Many thanks... Mike - Mike C. Steinberg
Twitter Bar is a Flock add-on. Once installed, u can tweet the post from the address bar. You have your post URL in the address bar, add a short description, and click on a small green button "Post to Twitter"(hover your mouse to the RHS of address bar to see it). Info here around 10 min mark http://www.youtube.com/watch... The other option is to log in to your twitter account from the home page instead of via SocialMarker. - Buff Toast
Thanks for reminding me about Twitter Bar. For really long URLs, how do you shorten with Twitter Bar? - Frank Dobner
The entry is limited to 140 characters. URLs becomes tinyurl automatically. - Buff Toast
Hello, here is an extention for this - Beage from twhirl
look on that page for Twitzer - Twitter more! - Beage from twhirl

Using Twitter Bar today. Very productive. Also got Friend Feed going out the back door to Twitter too. I wish there was someway of explaining this to my 92 year old dad. - Frank Dobner

"I can see you - well, your computer - naked. This statement is true when we are discussing the internet. Ordinary people would be amazed about much information can be retrieved from someone’s computer everytime that computer is connected to the net." - Ron"micronet"Harwood from Bookmarklet
Such as Ron?... - Mike C. Steinberg
Such as? what do you mean? - Ron"micronet"Harwood
Such as, the usual...passwords, bank account, etc? Curious as to how they do that. - Mike C. Steinberg
If you are asking how do they get stuff off of your computer? I'm not a hacker so I don't know all the details. The point is that there are times you should shield yourself from certain activities on the net.The article is about using proxies and and a way to do that. The reason someone would us proxies are many and at times are useful and have there purpose. - Ron"micronet"Harwood
Ron, I don't think people can read what you're doing if you're running a firewall. "they would be able to trace the specific location of your computer" isn't the same thing as getting stuff off your computer. There is total hype on that webpage - what proxies do is hide your IP address. Knowing your IP address absolutely does not enable anyone to see what you're doing on your computer. - Isha (Marysia)
Hmm... But they can if they track down the traces left by your IP address from various websites... I think... I would like to use a proxy, but the disadvantage is that it slows down your internet speed... - Art Y.
The hackers can get into your computer if you're careless, and leave some ports open, that should be closed. A lot of people do this, just so their Anti-virus program won't bug them, and everything runs faster. - Mike C. Steinberg
Proxies are mostly used for hacking, spamming, and other unscrupulous behavior, where you are trying to protect your identity for legal reasons. It will not protect you from someone trying to access your computer or placing pirating software on there. It would be like using a postal address of Main St when you live on Oak St It may prevent someone from going to your house, but it won't keep you from being mugged on the way to work - Mark South

Has anyone else experienced a slump in sales lately?...
not sure, my hits have gone up to avg 500 people a day but I didn't make a sale for 8 days. I'm not sure if my content isn't good enough or people are just not buying - Catherine
wow, thats a lot of hits per day!....I'm hoping sales pick up in the new year... - besht
Sales on our niche stuff has increased for now...I know a lot of thirty day challangers are fine - some have seen sales drop off. It really depends - high priced options might struggle a bit... - Ed Dale
Ive seen a sales slump!, and its lasted about 3 months, nothing to do with the economy more to the fact that I suck, and would probably make more money selling ice to eskimo's;)) - Elliot Webb
Any slump in IM'ing will probably depend on your niche. This economy might open new doors. - Mike C. Steinberg
I have a niche that gets teen to mid 20s buyers from the USA and Europe, it dropped dead suddenly about 8 weeks ago. No warning. It was so sudden I checked everything to see if there was an issue but nope, people are still clicking through to buy page... just not buying *shrugs* - Allison
I have had my sales go up on 2 sites. But one site always does good this time of year. Another site has dropped off. Not just dropped but, almost stopped! - Sheryl Loch
my niche is baseball so yes..but I made my first ever bat sale in November..go figure. - Brian McClure
One niche where I can usually get a decent return had me barely breaking even last month. I've put it on hold for now. - Gus
My business is growing but I am in a different type of business marketing in a totally different way http://www.osoeasy.info - Greg Martin
My sales dropped off a cliff in November. Niche is parents with misbehaving kids - ?? Jim Proser - Jim Proser
Ha Jim P Yours is easy to figure out - it's because Santa is watching :-) Should pick up again at about the 26th of December LOL - Elizabeth
I agree it all depends on the niche, with seasonality distorting each in different ways. I've seen some overall slowing of traffic to a multiple niche site which may indicate a more general trend. Record month for one market, almost stopped in others. For this reason I'd be wary of over specialising in the longer run. - Andy Roberts
In reply to Mike C. Steinberg comment... yes exactly, I am in network marketing and right now because of the economy the home business arena is going through a boom because everyone is looking for opportunity. http://www.onlinemlmrocks.com/ - Greg Martin
OK dead niche has returned to life today....wonder if the holiday season is finally encouraging spending... pleased to see a heart beat again! - Allison

It's going to be interesting to see what price point the #30DC + goes out at when it is released. I imagine if it's pegged at a very affordable level of between $10 and $20 a month, it is going to be jumped all over *silly* (and there are potentially tens of thousands of monthly subscriptions).
A "peppercorn" amount is traditionally something like one shilling a year. - Andy Roberts
As long as we adjust that shilling for inflation Andy - i think you will be right on!! - Ed Dale
My bet is that it's going to be either $7 or $17 a month :) - Kahthan
Ed & the gang deserve some compensation...but for some, anything is tough! - Mike C. Steinberg
Personally I'd say $19. I'm going on the 10,000 figure because of WordPress Direct users. I'd expect a 75%+ take up at this. Everyone would jump at $10 but I think it might be just a tad too low ($100,000) against say almost $142,500 at 75%, or more if the + is higher. Then there is the new people who start every day. Either way it's over a MILL/year and well deserved I'd say for backpay for all the great free info of the #30DC over the years. - Mark McGimpsey
I think it all depends on the mision/vision of the 30DC+. If it is like 30DC, which is to help people for as little money as possible, the price will go on the cheap side ($10) even if it doesn't render a big profit. If it is more tailored toward business like the ImmediateEdge, it will go between $20~$30. Im hoping for a smaller amount, but I know the material is of immense value. - Jorge Blanco

Caroline, I might give this e-book thing a go. Like he says, McDonalds isn't much more...unless it's a rip-off, but I don't think so. I originally got into Internet Marketing, with idea of selling information products, because I write. - Mike C. Steinberg

Hi everyone, I've been neglecting friendfeed. Just got an email from Ed about it, and so I'm diving back in. I'm still working through day 5 to 7, and reviewing from 1. I have a pilots license, and it wasn't this hard! But I'm still very motivated, and I probably should link up with you all. Mike
Me too lol ! Suggested we all start posting in Friend feed itself so all our different groups can mingle ! Got Eds message but havent got round to video yet! - Inspired Writing Research
If this group gets fired up, it would be a big help with the 30DC. Checked out the video, but I can't really get the sound high enough for me. I'll have to listen to it again. Ed's pretty high on friendfeed. I can see how it can be a great social and group communicating tool. - Mike C. Steinberg
