Has anyone seen people sign off with hand written signatures on the end of emails before? Cool or naff?
dangerous - Glen Mistletoe
even if it's not your actual signature? - Zee.
The cutesiness is offset by having yet another graphic embedded in email, which IMO is better off the more it's just text. - Andrew C
but what would tend to happen is people using plain text email clients would just see the text replacement in this case no? - Zee.
Not a big fan, myself. Not especially secure (if it's your actual signature), adds an extra attachment, and we all know how unreliably e-mail clients tend to show images. - Curtiss Grymala
I'm not a huge fan of graphics or images in email signatures as it means getting an attachment from them on every email. I stick with plain text. - Mike Bracco
I guess it depends on what type of emails it is used in and to whom it is sent. I'm sure a good percentage of hardcore internet users would find it annoying and/or tacky and/or inefficient. Grandma would probably love it, but in business/transactional type of stuff, it may have an adverse effect. - 1001 noisy cameras
Naff. Same for company logos. At some point in the thread the mail goes to a plain text-only client and then all the graphics become attachments that are out-of-context. If your company strapline doesn't work as text without graphics or a specific font, it doesn't work. - sjjh

D, is it "eggy"? Mr. B will eat eggs in things like cake, where you can't tell they're in there, but not in breakfast casseroles, potato salad, etc. where you can tell they are. - Laura Lou Who
No, not at all. It's fairly plain. It's a bit "drier" than a regular griddled pancake, but buttery. I halved this recipe: http://www.thekitchn.com/thekitc... and added a smidgen of vanilla cause I like the flavor it imparts. - Derrick
Ah. Thanks! Looks wonderful. :) - Laura Lou Who
Interesting, never heard the term Dutch baby before ... and I should know about it ... hmmm ... looks delish, though. - Rene Wirtz
Aha! I had one in Holland as pannekoeken and loved it. Never heard them called "Dutch babies" or knew they were so popular here. Excellent. :) - Laura Lou Who
But typically, pannekoeken are not made like an omelet, they are pancakes, just with all sorts of stuff inside or on top. - Rene Wirtz

Yeah, I hadn't seen these until I moved up to Portland area almost 4 years ago. Elmer's used to call them a German pancake, but now they too call them a dutch baby. Cassie made them for dinner a week or so ago. - Alex Scoble

"IE plummeted by 1.3 percentage points in September, falling to 65.7%, it's lowest level ever recorded and the largest one-month drop in almost a year, said Net Applications. In the last 12 months, IE has lost 8.5 percentage points and has dropped 2.6 points in the last three months alone. Unless Microsoft is able to stem the slide, its browser will slip under the 50% mark in the next two years. As has been the trend of late, IE's pain has been Firefox's and Chrome's gain." - LANjackal from Bookmarklet

Flickr from Yahoo! Censors Inoffensive Basketball Video, Calls Censorship “Error” - http://thomashawk.com/2009...
Why does Flickr from Yahoo! always want to hate on basketball? Take a look at the Youtube video above. It’s pretty boring in my opinion, just a few guys playing basketball. Nothing to see here, right folks? Move along. Apparently somebody somewhere from the censorship division at Flickr from Yahoo though felt that this video needed to be removed. The user who uploaded the video tried to go through the proper Flickr from Yahoo channels to figure out just why in the blazes somebody would want to delete his inoffensive video and what follows feels like a scene straight out of Abbott and Costello. - Thomas Hawk

An Open Letter to Elisa Steele EVP & Chief Marketing Officer, Yahoo Inc. - http://thomashawk.com/2009...
An Open Letter to Elisa Steele
Dear Elisa, Thank you today for sharing your vision for the new Yahoo! over at the Yahoo! blog today. Your new tagline “under new management…yours,” is refreshing indeed. Sometimes it takes new management to shake things up. I applaud your spirit in suggesting that “I” Thomas Hawk ought to have a say in how Yahoo’s management is run going forward. In your letter to all of us you write: “The core of our message will focus on YOU. It will celebrate all of your individual wants, needs, interests, and passions. That’s because Yahoo! really is all about you — we’re constantly evolving to give you more of what you want and less of what you don’t. We want you to make the Web your own and are designing products to put you in the driver’s seat of your Internet experience. Our new brand positioning reflects that.” I thought that that I’d take a few minutes out of my busy morning browsing photos on Flickr (I browse hundreds a day) to share with you just exactly how you might “celebrate” my... more... - Thomas Hawk
At one point my account was rated as NIPSA, which is ridiculous if you look at what I post. And it took me a while to figure out that it was why my photos weren't showing up in public groups. - John (a.k.a. dendroica)
Since flickr has a public moderation system, it is better that they use that than the secret NIPSA flag to hide images behind your back. Hopefully Elisa Steele reads this letter and takes it to heart. I'm convinced now more than ever that it is going to take actual management at Yahoo or others at the shareholder level to effect change as the decision makers at Flickr simply don't care. Unfortunately. - Thomas Hawk
They fixed it pretty quickly after I complained, but that sort of content flagging really ought to be more obvious. - John (a.k.a. dendroica)
Plug1 had his entire account NIPSA'd for a while too. They did it to me as well for several months. 100% of my photostream was NIPSA'd. The worst thing about it is that it's secret and you don't know. They still have individual images of mine NIPSA'd that are not offensive in the least, merely critical of censorship practices at Flickr. I've emailed them asking them to provide me a list of my images that they've classified as NIPSA but they haven't responded to this request yet. - Thomas Hawk
I have to ask the question: Why continue to support Flickr with your patronage when they have taken such a ham-fisted approach to their userbase and their community? Not that I think they're in the right on many of their latest questionable actions, but why not just leave and encourage others to do the same? What's the piece of this I'm missing? - Bryce Moore
Bryce - for me it's the investment in time I've put into Flickr. Moving would not just entail sending nearly 6,000 photos to a new host (and for a lot of ppl here, we're talking a lot more photos than that), but also the fact that so many of my blog posts have photos attached from my Flickr account. Plus, a lot of other ppl and sites use my Flickr photos. Then there's the community aspect. Flickr accounts aren't the same as a blog account which can be exported out from one place and imported into another. - Gary
Bryce, Flickr is a unique photographic community like none other. As strongly as I object to the ways that they've treated me and others, the fact is that the community is the richest most vibrant community of photographers anywhere online. I don't think at present anyplace else comes close to that. And so for better or worse Flickr is it. I just wish that they cared a little more and... more... - Thomas Hawk
Gary and Thomas -- I understand the time investment. I can see where that can be a show-stopper. The community hasn't really been an issue for me, but that's mostly from my own lack of investment in it. I guess it is easier for a small potato like me to abandon Flickr than those such as yourselves which have thousands of images uploaded, embedded, and commented on. I only hope you're... more... - Bryce Moore
Some wise company should create an easy migrate tool that will pull flickr images and tags so that its painless to leave flickr. - EricaJoy
Smugmug offers that very tool for its users who are fleeing the evil clutches of flickr. ( Ok, that was meant to be a joke, but the tool is real) - Roberto Bonini
I don't think it's just about migrating images. That's the easy part. Rather, I think it's the community. I've got over 13,000 people who have made me a contact and view my images and posts there. I'm active in a group with over 3,000 members that is super active every day. This community interaction and engagement is firmly entrenched in Flickr and that's not likely to change.... more... - Thomas Hawk
I think this is a welcome reboot by Yahoo, and hopefully this is an underlying change, not just a marketing blitz and a ring of the Nasdaq opening bell. Of all the old-school internet companies, Yahoo seems to be the one with the biggest customer-service problem across their product line, so this couldn't come any faster. They should learn from Jeff Bezos, when they screw up (eg 1984), they should accept responsibility, fix the problem and move on! - 1001 noisy cameras

so many of you seem to be blissfully unaware that there is _no_ need to get rid of car if ashtrays are full, and get rid of browser if its performance can be got back http://bit.ly/aqXxh ... - A.T.
There is also no need to go through all that when using Chrome. But then again, some people seem to be utterly unaware of the better browser experience. ;) - Adrian Scicluna
Well I would gladly go back to Chrome if it allows me to use it for more than 1 minute after startup. - Manuel Mas
I'm still having problems. I wonder if it's a conflict between some of my scripts? Manuel, the nightly build is Chromium, and it is different than activating the dev channel. Try it! - Michael Fidler
Its very problematic lately but I am using Safari now. - Mycaptain
It is still crashing on my side. I tested all versions (beta, dev and stable) and each one gives out same problem. I installed and uninstalled, nothing works. - Manuel Mas
Manuel, have you tried removing *all* the params from the shortcut and not just the -enable-sync? - Kol Tregaskes

I've come to the conclusion that getting past racism is impossible because those that have the power to do something about it are too busy denying it exists to actually stamp it out of existence. Either that or they don't care...or they're racists. Racism will have to die over time as new generations grow up and take over.
What do you think people in power could do about it? I think it's so insidious. I'm not "a racist" but I still have dumb racist thoughts or knee-jerk reactions. That makes me think that in another situation or with another upbringing where such impulses were encouraged I'd be as racist as anyone. - s t e v e
Basically, I think it exists because we let it. Sure, people seem disgusted and stuff like that when they see racism in action, but most people don't really do anything about it. Even something as simple as telling a friend/colleague that that racist joke wasn't cool. We let it slide for the most part. Is everyone going to suddenly start doing something about racism? Nope. - Rahsheen ™, Coach Rah
We need a strong republican to stand up and say that people are behaving in a racist way. Unfortunately, once they do that, they will probably be tarred and feathered. They spend their time denying racism (even when it is super apparent) - pandering to people who hate obama because he's black but don't want to admit to being racist, they either don't care because it keeps them in office, or they agree with racist statements. - Andrizzle Gizzle
I say strong republican but what I mean is, someone they respect as a leader. - Andrizzle Gizzle
It is fascinating that we humans are so advanced technologically with iPods and iPhones and super-cameras and all sorts of things, yet on social issues we are trailing our technological advancements by at least a few centuries.... As you said, it's slow progress, and it may take a few more generations before it gets "cycled out" of the system. - 1001 noisy cameras
I think part of the big problem is the refusal of a lot of people to see forms of racism that aren't as blatant as segregation was. The think that as long as it isn't THAT bad, it can't be all that bad. A lot of people who don't consider themselves racist, still engage in passive racism - either by omission or ignorance. - Jennifer Dittrich
In my experience, a lot of people have convinced themselves they're not racist. They genuinely believe they aren't. Even when it's pointed out to them, they still deny it and then become defensive and project the blame on the accuser, claiming that minorities always use the "race card" when they don't like something. In my opinion, blaming "the race card" every time someone claims racism is also racist. - Trish R
I'm confused why moderate Republicans don't even speak against it. One would think they would want to distance themselves from the nutjobs, who are more and more becoming the image of the party. - Rodfather
Trish++ about the race card. I'm sick of hearing the phrase at this point and you definitely hit the nail on the head in saying excessive use of the term is racist (Oh boy, I wonder what can of worms that opens up). Rod, I don't understand that either. There are some very intelligent people who I might disagree with politically, but I would think we'd be on the same page regarding all this racist stuff. Surprising that's not the case. - Rahsheen ™, Coach Rah
I'm not sure getting past racist thought what we should be focusing on. Instead, we should be working on power relations and racist actions. What I mean is I think almost everyone has prejudiced/racist thoughts from time to time, but that's a personal struggle that should be handled by the individual. Society should be concentrating on actions/practices, say if someone's racism carries... more... - cecily
Or, in short, you ain't got to like me. Just get out of my way while I try to get sh*t done. - cecily
++ Rasheen - most of the conservatives/libertarians I'm friends with, are thankfully much more aware of racism, and this confuses them as well. I attribute it to the us vs. "the other" mentality that has been brewing for so long. If those pesky liberals are trying to do A, then it seems like the core of the conservative movement is going to take the position B - it is either wrong, unnecessary, or morally reprehensible to consider. - Jennifer Dittrich
That's exactly right, Cecily. I don't really care if we all love each other unconditionally, regardless of race. I care about the outcomes resulting from the action of racist thought. We can't expect to actually change everyone's mind. - Rahsheen ™, Coach Rah
Reminds me of Driving Miss Daisy where she claims she's progressive, but didn't invite Hoke to sit with her to hear MLK Jr. - Rodfather
Rah, how much, in your estimation, do you think the whole political correctness movement can be blamed for the still lingering racism? - Rene Wirtz
And you know, I'd be perfectly happy if, instead of denying racism exists, people who don't necessarily agree with a position would just step back and think to themselves "OK, I don't agree with this person, but it doesn't invalidate their experience." - cecily
It was only after I got singled out for mistreatment for being a white guy with a pair of Indian girls that I realized that racism is a lot more complicated and a lot less solved than people would like to think. - Wirehead
That's a good question, Rene. Not sure I have a good answer for it right now though. I'd have to think on that one :) - Rahsheen ™, Coach Rah
I'm very outspoken when I hear someone make a joke or generalization about another race. My junior year roommate is black and I asked her A LOT of questions. Also, a lot of inner city schools are just as segregated as they were pre Brown v. Board. - Lis Miller
There are still a lot of young people who are racist. I guess they were wrong when they said kids never listen to their parents. - Victor Ganata
Political Correctness, IMO, should have been about recognizing privilege and striving toward equal opportunity (another emotionally charged term nowadays) for everyone willing to do the work. Because PC is widely perceived as a means to control thought and action (and, by extension, wealth), I think there is a backlash coming from the privileged class. - vicster
IMHO, with everyone tiptoeing around each other's feelings, racism has been swept under the rug and a lot of people were under the impression that out of sight meant out of mind. - Rene Wirtz
That's correct, Rene. Not talking about it doesn't make it go away. This is how people who focus on simply not noticing or pointing out differences are part of the problem, not the solution. - Rahsheen ™, Coach Rah
These days I only hear the term "politically correct" from people who are trying to justify their decision to be rude and unthinking by pouring scorn on those who want to be mindful of how words and other 'small' things have a big impact. - Deborah Fitchett
Same here, Deborah. It seems to always be used as a pejorative term. - s t e v e
The whole PC thing was definitely abused and misused to a point - Rahsheen ™, Coach Rah
Rasheen its a complex problem. I had a friend once to whom I tried to explain that the only reason his subordinate workers (some of whom were of another color) were laughing at his class and race jokes is that they were uncomfortable about losing their jobs if they didn't. That this behavior predates our present day perverse acceptance of certain derrogatories being acceptable "in... more... - Melanie Reed
There is behavior that needs to change on both sides of the divide. - Melanie Reed
Respectfully, I disagree with you: Racism dies on the day you and I, each one in his or her turn, realizes we have a common Father. - Melanie Reed
I straight up just went bug eyed. - Andrizzle Gizzle
Well, Melanie, you were making sense until that last part. - Rahsheen ™, Coach Rah
Talking about eradicating racism is like explaining what a yellow circle tastes like. I'd love to try and stamp it out, but the people who need to confront their issues the most are the ones who truly feel that their actions and thoughts aren't racist. - Derrick
@Derrick: bingo! Denial is not just a river in Africa! - Rene Wirtz
Rasheen, That we have a common Father? He created me no better than you... and no worse. He expects us to get along. Differences that should have been a delight have become a suspicion and behavior that irritates that does no one any good. That is why the responsibility is individual. - Melanie Reed
Melanie, that comment about a "common father" is one of the reasons racism will always exist. Not everyone believes the same and faith is a personal choice. Dictating to other people that racism will cease to exist if they believe as you do simply throws gasoline on an already raging fire. - Trish R from iPhone
I guess you could say we all have common ancestral parents, in an evolutionary sense. :-> - Kurt Kringle
+10, Trish. *fistbump* - cecily
Trish, its not so much a matter of belief (though for my part there is that) but it is a sure hope that recogninzing the truth, of making the last ascent over the last hill to find that He is there and has been there all along despite any bad behavior others may have heaped on His name is the only answer to our resolving our differences. Differences based on pride of difference, of one... more... - Melanie Reed
Not to derail or anything, but Melanie - that's your truth. And it's great that you have it, don't get me wrong. But to say that it's a universal truth is evidence of the kind of wilful blindness around racism that we're talking about in this thread. Just because I can't believe what you believe doesn't make your belief any more right. - cecily
Thank you Trish and Cecily - and I mean no disrespect to you, Melanie. - Kurt Kringle
So long as there are multiple races, there will be racism. There are cultural differences that will always exist in some form, and they should be celebrated. The best we can do is to not allow ourselves to fall into the trap that mere acknowledgment of cultural differences is evil. It's RACIAL PREJUDICE (refusing to hire someone based on their race) and BIGOTRY (belief in genetic superiority over another race) that are the true evils. - Mattb4rd
Cecily and Trish, I appreciate that. The only reason I know I am no better than you or no worse is because of Him...and not because someone told me I must think this way. I would not have responded to an enforcement policy at work or at school because that would not have touched my heart. It would have only touched my fear. But He can touch my heart...and that is where racism or any disrespect for another's sanctity starts. - Melanie Reed
I hear you, Melanie. - cecily

Kurt, I didn't take it as such. :) - Melanie Reed
Melanie, I appreciate your comments. I think fear and insecurity also contribute to a lot of problems we have in accepting each other's differences as just those: differences, not faults or deficiencies. - Trish R
unfortunately, racism will not die out, ever, because there will always be people in the ethnocentric stage of development and values (racial identity over national or global identity, my values group over any larger identity with others, etc) -- BUT, we can reduce the hate with better education - William Harryman
Rahsheen ...thanks for starting this thread. - .LAG liked that

I forget where I read it years ago... Someone talked about racism really not shifting/improving until each generation died. - Mitchell Tsai
It's natural to be more comfortable with some people than others; some talk about a progression of trust/identification - family, tribe, town, county, state, country, world. Even Nationalism has produced some yucky awful stuff. Racism's better for me since the days when I had things thrown at my car because I was Chinese. - Mitchell Tsai
In a London hostel, I met a pretty Scandinavian woman who called me "China boy". Was weird how I left...some good...some bad. She was trying to be friendly, but had very heavy racist-superior stuff going on. I maybe felt better about that she was up-front about it, rather than trying to be "polite" and just not-speak-to-me or ignore me. Was a funny kind of situation. Kind of like when you're talking with someone who (a) wants to connect (b) but also wants to name-drop and look impressive. - Mitchell Tsai
Coach: if "Racism will have to die over time as new generations grow up and take over." why is the generation that worked so long for civil rights for blacks in the US the same generation I hear making remarks about "the Hispanics have taken over?" As Steve Lawson remarked, it still takes effort to catch the racist thoughts that arise unbidden so they don't control our behavior in... more... - Polly Potter
Not sure about that first part, but I definitely don't think racism can be legislated away, either. Once those people who are unable to control their actions in relation to their thoughts die, racism will die a little as well. I live in a primarily conservative area within a conservative state. These people did not vote for Obama and many of them barely tolerate minorities. Most of their kids pick up on their intolerance and see through their faulty reasoning. - Rahsheen ™, Coach Rah
@Rahsheen - parents perpetuating intolerance is, IMHO, the root of the problem. Kids pick up on almost everything parents say and do, and some decent parents may not even be aware of the subtlety of their own intolerance. I've made an effort in raising my own Daughter to show that all people of different races and classes are the same and it has made a difference in her perspective. While race is a huge problem, so is the prejudice between/among classes, IMHO. - Kurt Kringle
Agreed, Kurt. I think the solutions to all of these are similar, though. There will always be some element that will try to breed hate, whether it be parents or hate groups or whatever. As time goes on, though, I believe these elements will get weaker and weaker. - Rahsheen ™, Coach Rah

Why do people get pissed at Microsoft? I have a new Dell/Vista. Nothing but Office 2007 on it. Crashes when I try to open Outlook. Sigh.

Have a client with a win 2003 server. It's needs OS re-installing. They've lost disks. Apparently MS don't offer OEM 2003 support anymore. the product key with the COA (obviously) doesn't work with the evaluation versions I was told by Dell to download from MS site. a third call to Dell support, and they 'find' some disks in stock after all. It was a whole day wasted though chasing around in circles. - Ian May

I think its just outlook... never could get that be very stable on any machine, not since they loaded it up with so many things. - Matt Ellsworth
Outlook usually runs fine, but you're right in that it can be a bit finnicky if the main data file - PST file - is corrupt. Outloook can be run in safe mode without any addons if one of them is causing a problem. In my experience, a corrupt PST is the main cause of grief with Office Outlook, but is no more unstable than any other programme out there. - Kittyburgers from IM
Yeah, Linux is no better. Why, I remember Ubuntu crashing on me just last year. Not the OS, mind you, but gdm, so I was logged out. Or was that 2007? - Bruce Lewis
It's all the crap that these companies put on new PCs that is so tiresome. it's time wasting too, removing it all. - Ian May

Now I've installed, for the first time, an iMac running OSX with Parallels and Vista. And for some reason Windows seems to work better under VM on an iMac. - Adrian Scicluna
Open Office may not be as feature-full as MS Office 07.. but then again, most people don't use more than 5-10% of all that Office 07 can do. - Adrian Scicluna
But then again, some people really need all those features. I do. Open is not an option for many people in a office environment. Besides, the issue was with Office Outlook 2007, as I recall. Not with Open Office. Who cares about Open Office - that wasn't what the thread was about. - Kittyburgers from IM
I don't like Outlook as 1. I can't justify the price. 2. it's slow. 3. it's bloated eye candy 4. I don't need it. - Ian May
does a new commercially bought PC with Windows and Software installed crash more than a commercially bought PC with linux or mac OSX? I'm not sure, perhaps it would be because typically there's way more installed and customized that can go wrong on first run. On the other hand my commercially bought HP with Linux could not be registered online or updated ("sorry, your serial number is... more... - Joelle Nebbe (iphigenie)
I would agree with you on the price aspect, however, it is not really geared to individual users and is more of a business broduct and is included in the higher-end Office packages. It *can* be a bit so, but this is usually due to overly large PST files. On my machine with a 1GB PST file, it's still quite snappy, but on lower end machines, this can indeed be a problem.. I don't know about the boated eye-candy statement, though. I would disagree with you on that one. - Kittyburgers from IM
ok Kittyburgers. I used to use Outlook, but these days I simply don't need it. I prefer Gmail, and there's no darn sync nonsense. That is the main reason I moved away from local email. - Ian May
Higher-end Office packages?! It's included in Office Basic. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us... - Adrian Scicluna
It depends which market these licenses are sold. Office Basic 2007 is for system builders only with Offce Small Business and Professional 2007 trial. It is not sold retail. You must order it with a new PC. It is aimed at the small business user, not a home user. This is where the Home & Student version comes in. Office Outlook 2007's target users are in a business environment. This is what I meant when I stated higher-end packages. - Kittyburgers from IM

my curent annoyance with MS is the helpful search technology they have added and kind of forced on me - by default it indexes too much, uses too many resources, and gets in the way... and i cant remove it... - Joelle Nebbe (iphigenie)
Indexing shouldn't be taking up too many resources. Check the settings - you can adjust everything to suit your needs. Just type "index" into the start menu and you should see indexing options (on Windows 7, and I believe Vista as well) If you deal with many documents and emails, I would say that it's one of the best new features. Certainly for me, along with jump lists. - Kittyburgers

Facebook Buys FriendFeed - http://thomashawk.com/2009...
Facebook Aquires FriendFeed
A few hours ago I learned that Facebook had acquired one of my favorite current little playgrounds on the internet FriendFeed. There’s been no talk on the price they paid, but if I just threw a total guess out of left field I’d say it was somewhere around $100 million. That’s just a guess. I’m sure the real number will come out soon enough. While I’m sure that this deal is a fantastic one for the founders of Friendfeed (who were probably already multi-millionaires from their earlier roles at Google and now just became that much richer) I’m not feeling so positive about it for the actual users of FriendFeed. - Thomas Hawk
Does this mean Facebook is becoming more or less open to the web? Friendfeed banks on the idea of bringing all services into one, will Social Media companies actually rebel against Facebook? - Eric James
It's hard to say exactly what it means yet still Eric. But I think that as we know and love FriendFeed today, that is likely going to be a thing of the past in the near future. - Thomas Hawk
Data point: when Cisco acquires a company with no revenue in order to get the team and significant technology, the purchase price is generally not more than $70 million (and $10-30 million is more common). - DGentry
looks like $50M is the ballpark according to WSJ. Thomas: I tend to agree, great deal for FF, not sure I like the future of what seemed to a good aggregation platform to be absorbed into a less-open system of FB. - Lou Paglia
wow, only $50 million. I'm surprised. Facebook probably got a pretty good bargain then. - Thomas Hawk
From the WSJ: "Facebook paid nearly $50 million for the company, in a combination cash and stock offer, according to people familiar with the matter. The company paid roughly $15 million in cash, with the rest in Facebook stock that vests over several years and would be worth roughly $32.5 million based on the $6.5 billion common valuation an investor recently placed on the company. A Facebook spokesman declined to comment." http://online.wsj.com/article... - Thomas Hawk
I think your number's really high but i'm sure it will come out eventually, and there's only one I'm not sure about but there weren't millionaires in the FF employees collection just really talented smart people who got bored with stuff before they cared about getting rich with stuff in the past. - Steve C
I don't know Steve. I'd imagine that Google stock options earlyon pre-IPO tended to appreciate quite a bit. - Thomas Hawk
