I think it's about time to close the window now. Peace. - Dani Radu
you can read here about the lifespan of flickr so far http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F.... It has been a big part of my digital ambiental awareness weapon of choice's life :) I will migrate to Picassa, and keep flickr historically until I can find a way to migrate the social interaction that happed over 2 years on my account. - Dani Radu
? - binic
May I help you sir Binic ? (http://valleywag.gawker.com/50...) - Dani Radu
nice resignation. I will also quit my software job for family, a horde of alpacas and tin bending. may i will in the future. distant future. i'm no flickr inventor. - binic
oh cmon. i just published my first photo on flickr and you migrate to picasa? - Mihai Tarmure
I don't want to lose the social value of flickr - so I'm gonna keep the account. (the community that was build before they went activity centric) but playing with picassa i realized the power behind. And I totall need that kind of mashing for my pictures in the future (google maps, calendar, mail etc). - Dani Radu
and yes, flickr moved to be activity center. what the yahoo morouns didn't understand, was that flickr's model _was_ from day 0 activity centric. You know, streams of pics. So they build this activity crap that is not following ANY need it is just in line with a tend. If only I would have a tool to migrate the social interaction from flickr, I would delete the account alltoghether. Unfortunately, I will have to wayt 3-5 years untill social interaction would be standardized :) - Dani Radu
in my opinion, social networks are to internet what the colonisation by hobos, rapists and murderers was to north america ( no offense intended for americans ) - Adrian
prediction: yahoo will be bought by the end of this year - Mihai Tarmure
