Now in private beta. The trailer got to me faster then their ego run on `we know why others virtual words didnt "gain traction"`. If they are half way to "Stunning graphics, hybrid networking, extensible architecture and powerful scripting.", then we have a winner. I'm almoust as excited to check this out as I was about the sculpties moment in SL or the Windlight. See? See? Something has to compete _for_real_ with SL. We shall see... - Dani Radu
Droop introduced me to it. And 2 minutes later he was like "wow I can't believe you're excited about smth i found" - which is completely outrageous I'm excited about most things :P.
But in all seriousness piclens nailed that fullscreen picture-in-a-smooth-row-elengantly-mirrored browsing, and the COOL part is that you can browse galleries. like flickr, google images findings, and such. Its a firefox plugin, works nice. Not for productivity, but it sure makes the browsing look awesome. - Dani Radu
Good article on the history of a multi platform game launch. Far from me to favor Microsoft in all these, but they seem to learn from their mistakes. Its only that they need to do many many first. In my case, after a lot of thinking (about 5 minutes in the store o) I chose the Xbox - for the exact same reason I hate M$ and windows. Once GTAIV is done and done, I can hack the box into a nice little home backup linux server or whatever (http://www.free60.org/wiki/Mai...)
Plus, the ps3 was packed and branded gtaiv but it seemd all in a desperate effort. Since at the time did not provide multiplayer :)
So there you have it. I own an(other) M$ product. Some things change. Sometimes, its lazy good not to fight back. If not gamers, we're all players anyway. - Dani Radu
