"How did you install Windows 7? You must have put it on either a disc or USB stick or similar. If you used the USB install method, then you just use the Windows USB instead of the disc - booting from the USB installation. Then just follow the instructions as normal. Let me know and I'll try to help."

"I think this, Windows 8 and the general dumbing down of desktop OS's should go away. I'm really not a fan of any of these things. Great for tablets and phones but not the desktop."

"Someone gave me a copy of the Sun last week because they noticed I was sat there bored in work. Out of nowhere a fairly intelligent friend of mine who was just happening to walk past noticed it in my hands. I almost died of shame! I felt sick inside. I had to explain that it wasn't mine and that some poor misguided fool had that minute given it to me. I quickly told the story of how I came by having a copy of such trash in my possession. I explained that I'd never buy such a thing and that if I do by a paper it's something more intelligent like the Independent, i, or Guardian. He took some convincing but I think he's talking to me again."

"Awesome - I've only just started using Swype all the time since getting a Samsung Galaxy S II. It is great! Really looking forward to the update."

"Hope it works for you. If my instructions in the post don't do it, check the comments as there are a few other suggestions from people."

"You could probably do it using the methods as above but using Windows 7 on a USB. It's quiet simple to put Windows 7 onto a USB stick: http://technet.microsoft.com/e... You just need a Windows 7 disc image first and a computer to prepare the Windows 7 USB installation."

"I'll try to look into this one for you. I had the same issue myself on a laptop I was repairing last week but as the unallocated partition was small I decided to leave it (lack of time and the job being a none paying favour). I'm a bit tied up until next week with photography and other jobs now so the answer may take a while. If you discover the solution yourself before I do, it'd be great if you could post it here."

"I've not tried it but I guess making a bootable Windows 7 installation on a SB stick would do the same... not got the the time at the mo to do a write up but if you'd like one let me know."
