"For my fellow interactive nerds dropping in, I used this as an excuse to dabble in new CSS3 attributes. Specifically, font-face, border-radius and box-shadow."

"Thanks go to: * The look of bewilderment that my son has started showing over the past few days. He's seeing the world in new ways and REALLY trying to get stuff figured out. * My wonderful wife who may not always understand why the things I think are important or interesting are, but supports my interest and attention all the same. * Cardiologists. If not for them almost three years ago, I might not be here to be thankful. * Creativity. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have a job (or a real marketable skill) nor would I have fodder for blogging, speaking, or pretty much anything I do during my waking moments. Without you, I'd be screwed. * Brian for thanking me in his thanksgiving list. This thanks completes a circle that creates an orobouros of admiration. That's a good thing. * There's some other stuff that I'm sure needs to go here, but I can't quite think of them at the moment."

"I'm quite happy to say that Mr. Schimmel did NOT exhibit any of the bad habits that I ranted about above. I thought he did a fantastic job and that the event was one of the better ones we've had."

"Yes, I get where you're coming from. I think that my problem is less about dwelling in the past and more about having little means to dwell in the now in a way that's conducive to creating more music. I have too many other creative demands eating away at my mindshare."

"I was trying to wedge a Diamond Rio joke into the post somehow, and it just never felt natural. I'm glad someone's mind went in the same direction as mine. In fact, I never could get the association out of my head when I first bought it. But, when I got yelled at for buying it I simply asked if we could just "Meet In The Middle." Whew. I feel so much better now that I got that joke out."

We were part of a team of 10 that participated in the 2009 Crawl For Cancer ( http://www.crawlforcancer.org/kansasc... ). Our team went around to five bars in the Westport area of Kansas City and enjoyed 20 pitchers of the cheapest beer that each bar could get away with serving. Needless to say, it was a blast. Proceeds from the mass debauchery went to support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Robin (@rabbittini) guest hosts, and I think that it's a nice improvement to the format. What do you think? More two-way conversations, or stick with the ol' talking head? In this episode: A travelogue of the day's progress.

"At this point, we're pretty much "single point of failure" anyway. We're AT U-Verse subscribers, so all our programming is IPTV-based anyway. And, really, by adding a sufficient antenna to pick up local ATSC transmissions, we're kind of better off in that respect than we are now. :)"

In this Pecha Kucha presentation, I'll take you through 12 years of creative failures and false starts contained on my 4TB drobo. Illustrations, posters, lunchboxes, and a cartoon about a Tiki Bar await. All this, and I still manage to distill the whole thing down to a poop joke. Classy. This was shot as part of the Bulletproof event hosted by the Art+Copy Club of Kansas City ( http://artandcopyclub.com ). Special thanks to Thill Media ( http://thillmedia.com ) for shooting and editing this video. Check out the "bulletproof" tag to see more great videos from that evening. Everyone was phenomenal.

"You made a very important distinction here... personal blogging is what I was thinking about but didn't articulate very well. However, it's not just personal blogs in my feed reader that are fading into nothing. Some of the larger blogs I read are tapering off as well."

Here's a Pecha Kucha presentation I did regarding Facebook that might be of some interest. It's been getting a fair amount of retweets today. I'd appreciate a retweet from you if you like it. Thanks!
