My coffee pot. Best in town. I should charge fot it.
- Steven Perez
I have never had Dunkin' Donuts. McDonalds coffee is really quite good. However, Starbucks, depending on the choice, makes nearly unbeatable coffee. But Peet's Coffee kicks all their butts. And then there's www.keancoffee.com, which is where the gods of coffee go to refuel their spirits.
- Absentee
None of the above! I opt for local, independent coffee houses that actually roast their own coffee on site. One of my favorites is Orchard Valley Coffee in Campbell CA. If I had to choose a chain though, I'd pick Pete's.
- Jeff P. Henderson
I think I like Peet's better than Starbucks.
- Bonnie Foster
alas, the shortages we face on e coast, no pete's, no indie coffee huts... :(
- chaz2b
@Paria -- I believe you can order online from Kean. Seriously, their coffee is outrageously good. And, again, Peet's, too, is well worth ordering from online.
- Absentee
chaz, there's a Peet's in Boston, so it's not completely absent from the e coast.
- mikepk
Starbucks, but we don't have one in my town. We don't have Dunkin' Donuts in Australia at all. We do have McCafe though, and my closest one makes nice lattes. But my fave coffee place is Star Gardentown: http://www.stargardentowncafe.com.au/
- Mellyboo
If you are in Canada no question its Tim Hortons Timmies all the way
- Rob Cairns
It's like asking where does one get a couture dress? Walmart, Costco or Nike. DUmb Dumb Dumb!!!
- Abhishek Rai
None of the above. Peet's or Stumptown, thanks.
- Ryan
I vote dunkin donuts. I've never tried McDonalds coffee. I prefer Starbucks over Dunkin donuts for espresso drinks.
- jenali
from BuddyFeed
Pilot Truck Stop in the US. I'm still struggling to find something that matches that here in the UK.
- Nick B.
McDonalds coffee generally good in the US. Over here in the UK it's a non-starter.
- Nick B.
This matches what I hear from people that run to a DD when they see one (we don't have DD here yet). They prefer DD over McDonalds & Starbucks. Starbucks is about community, not yummy coffee. Maybe they can learn from DD on how to make a good, cheap cup of Joe.
- Charl Lee
Standard coffee (hot or iced) goes to Dunkin (plus they add cream and sugar already which is a nice touch). Starbucks for specialty. However, for home brew, I prefer Starbucks.
- manielse (Mark Nielsen)
Proof again that Dunkin' Donuts brews the best cup of java in America. Now if they would just open up their long promised stores in St. Louis...
- Mark Edwards
I'm pretty sure they proved that they didn't LOL They still only got about half the points available... Lets let that one sink in.. Half.... I think when it comes to coffee then "less is more" Drink less but drink better. But then again I'm only a weekend coffee druggy not a full time coffeeholic.
- Rasmus Lauridsen
Dunkin has always had good coffee but why would you want cream & sugar already in it? I like it black.
- m9m, Crone of FriendFeed
Haven't has SB or Costa's in ages. But McDonalds truely has terrible coffee. But Subway is pretty good.
- Roberto Bonini
from iPhone
I find McDonalds has good coffee when they start a new campaign, but then it turns to dreck real fast around here. I think they just keep adding to the current pot. DD's OK as is Starbucks. I like the Cafe blend at Atlanta Bread best.
- Reed Porter
caribou turtle mocca. i think it helps there are bits of chocolate in it....
- Mike Nencetti
Baskin-Robbins or Dairy Queen. The ice cream and caramel bury the bitterness.
- a runcible MiniMage
You guys haven't had real coffee if you think Starbucks makes a good brew.

- Shandiz
that's right/ it was her dad/ can't even imagine it :|||
- Shandiz
The video was way intense. There's no way I can go to sleep after just watching it. Can't even imagine being there right now. Oh, and there will be change ... I have absolutely no doubt about that, WorldofHiglet.
- Matthew Horton
Has Maryam written any of her thoughts on this? I would very much like to read what she thinks...
- Karoli
Karoli: she hasn't. She doesn't want to get anyone in trouble. I think she also wants to travel there and doesn't want to be marked as a troublemaker.
- Robert Scoble
They also are worried it will get worse. It is almost like she and her family are holding their breath.
- Robert Scoble
Understood, Robert. Give her a hug from me. My sis-in-law's SO is Persian, many relatives there. He is very worried.
- Karoli
it was told to accompany your family for more security. It happened to be a disaster to go out today
- شوخی
it is not enough to keep her in our mind,we have to do something that they don't dare to do these things again, please do whatever you can that more people become aware of what happens now in Iran and react to that.
- Mary
And all of this is done in the name of God. Isn't free will the will of God. May peace be upon Iran again.
- Abhishek Rai
No one can put the genie back in the bottle, things can't revert to what they once were. Destination unknown. Either the government falls or the repression will be unspeakable. I can't see a middle path.

Steve Clemons of Washington Note: "One of DC’s best Iran experts Barbara Slavin wrote to me through Facebook and said, Steve, Iran ceased being an Islamic republic a week ago. now it’s just another military dictatorship." http://www.thewashingtonnote.com/archive...

As I spend the day with my own children today I will be thinking of Neda and her father. Terrible. I saw the video last night and thought it was scary, saddening, and enraging.
- Lon Cohen
Knowing it was her father makes sense; the cries that come out in the last 15 seconds are absolutely ones of profound loss. The video is also his story.
- James Watters
"Neda Agha Soltan didn't believe that we always have to fight and quarrel and be violent and have death," said Makan. "There's only one thing (Iranians) must fight and that's ignorance. And you don't fight ignorance with a sword or a gun. You turn on a light." Neda Agha Soltan, music student martyred in Iran, June 2009
- Carol
I just cried when I saw it and I also could not get it out of my mind all day Saturday. I pray for the people of Iran that their struggle is not in vain.

Nice Initiative-Before Brand logged on to Social Media, Coffee Cafes had lapped it up and were using it more as a necessity than the fad.
