nothing wrong with acknowledging if someone happens to be gay, as long as they truly are gay and it's not said with any hint of derision. when you refer to someone as "ghey" or gay because they do something you don't approve of or are taking some kind of tone that insinuates a quality of child-like derision on your behalf, then it's probably not complimentary and therefore just kinda dumb.

What Cee Bee said. If it's said in a matter of fact way to someone who is actually gay, there's nothing wrong with that. When someone says 'You're so gay/ghey', it's almost always said in a negative fashion at the expense of gay people.

Hmm... I dunno if I buy it. A lot of people in my life who are gay are not necessarily ghey, and vice versa. I'm going to consult aplusk on the matter just to be safe.
