“The video ... shows a sobbing man who simply fails to comply with orders to stand up and get into a cruiser. He does not threaten or wrestle with the officer. Yet he is repeatedly tasered as a type of punishment for failing to comply...”

this is sad... kind of makes me want to go sit on the side of the road and cry, but after watching this i think i'll just go home and curl up in the fetal position

At first I thought I was being silly thinking like this, but who the hell got the bright idea to give tasers to cops? With guns, they know the repercussions of shooting. Not so with this, "non-lethal" torture device. Add to this the pregnant lady in Vermont, I think, that was hit in her backyard during a baptism party along with her elderly grandfather, and the 76 year old man driving a tractor with a 9 year old on board in a parade in Wyoming. I think the cops are starting to get jollies from watching folks sizzle a bit.

@Chris - I felt the same way. (Also: save yourself now and don't watch the Deacon Wiliams video in my feed) ... what a story.. and there are so many. I've been doing some research today on Taser and "less lethal" force. I'm really sick over it. No words. How did we get here?

Thanks Anthony. Yeah, this is pretty sad. The cop should have called an ambulance and Baker acted the guy. He's clearly in severe mental duress.

sure Chris - I expand a bit more on *why* on the Deacon Williams thread. it's stomach-turning to be sure. well, actually - no, it's not stomach-turning - it's soul-turning. :-/ @WoH: totally agree with you.
