"Farming will be back with a vengeance when the oil used to fertilize intensive farms or ship food thousands of miles becomes scarcer or too expensive. Either you'll starve or you'll be growing it for yourself and your local community. Sadly, lots of people are going to starve because local communities have made "farming" illegal to create suburban fantasy lands--I should hope that many will simply ignore the HOA-nazis and tear out their lawns and plant anyway. If as many people who play FarmVille actualy started farming actual food, we'd be drowning in so much excess food that if anyone was found hungry we'd consider them mentally ill.
