I really like this drive to cover different scales in structural biology. There was a big emphasis on this at the EMBL before I left (I assume there still is :). Even with all the artifacts it just looks amazing to zoom in from a whole cell to the atomic details of a single protein. - Pedro Beltrao

I agree the visualizations can be quite stunning by themselves. I also like the combination of techniques in image processing (tracking, object detection) coupled with molecular modeling (docking, refinement). Exciting stuff indeed. - Adam Kraut
