Thanks Enrique, I'll post some more soon. They are a little more obvious than these ones. As Luke points out; without being able to look closely it's impossible to tell. He's right; but up close it's more obvious. I'll upload the originals to Picasa later, and then you'll be able to zoom in with any photo viewer and see for yourselves. I can't believe how many people liked these. A few people have reposted them already. Thanks!

Excellent pictures - how long did it take you to scan the photographs into Photoshop and then edit them? The only pencil that has come into contact with these "drawings" is the Photoshop pencil. A tip - stop trying to fool people into thinking you are a "real" artist, because all you are doing is cheapening proper artist's works whom have spent hours creating real pictures as opposed to a few minutes on a graphics editing package.

Actually, I have learned quite a bit about these drawing since I made this post. Not only have I discovered all of the artists, but I've learned more about how they are created. They are always copied from a photograph or painting, but usually a photograph. It is extremely time consuming and detail orientated work. For anyone who really likes Popeye's and you're ever in New Orleans, there's this little corner store on Carondelet near the French Quarter where this old lady fries chicken non-stop. There's always a line around the block to buy that chicken and it's something like $2.50 for 3 pieces of chicken with home fries and a biscuit. It's the craziest place ever to think it would be any good but damn. Words can't describe that chicken.

We have "re-share" Zee (it's missing from the beta, but it will be back). Why do you not want the ff.im link? It seems to me that this country was founded on the premiss of free speech. I for one believe that marriage is between a man and a women. But that does not prevent the state from creating some other type of civil union. The real point here is that Miss California should not have been made to feel like some sort of outcast for expressing her opinion. I believe that she is in the majority

The big issue i have (and a lot of others who disagrees with same sex marriage) is the use of the word Marriage. I have no problem with same sex civil unions which give same sex couples the same legal rights. Marriage to me however contains a religious context and that is why i disagree with same sex marriages

I think same sex marriages should be legal between two consenting adults. I voted No on Prop 8. I also think that Perez Hilton did a disservice to this movement by vilifying this woman at a beauty pageant and probably robbing her of her crown. It was an inappropriate question to be asked a single contestant at a beauty contest. It's unfortunate that he used this opportunity to convey his own intolerance and to give those opposing same sex marriage valuable ammunition to use in this case.

@Jamie - the easy next step from there is "let's not legalize religious ceremonies at all". Just make the legal analogue of a marriage a civil union, regardless of the sex of the partners. The ceremony can be called whatever your officiant wants it to be.

Jamie, that issue has always unsettled me. If marriage is just a religious context (and which religious context?), then why can heterosexual atheists obtain civil marriages? Being pretty new to Twitter (two years but very sporadic until the last few weeks) I hadn't heard of @aplusk until today. Anyhow, I went to try to follow him in the last few hours and none of my attempts were successful. My conclusion: the race is rigged by joint PR effort, they want him to break the million just as he appears on Oprah. Or something like that. I have to say that, given it's a free service, I didn't mind too much. But I probably haven't invested as much of myself as Scoble and others here :)

By blocking people from unfollowing those accounts, they could be hoping to prevent people from unfollowing right after he hits 1,000,000 and the jockeying to become the "real" 1,000,000th follower that's sure to come.

I've seen something lke this happen to regular users - follow again, clear browser cache, reload page, try to unfollow again. If that doesn't do it, try blocking. I would never have followed @aplusk in the first place, so I can't perform the test

Mark well I'm sure there could easily be a collaborative effort given the amount of people using the service, and the amount of companies or projects using the firehose, we could easily find new users, and check their followers out, and who they may follow, then give that back to twitter to judge who is "real" or someone. Adding spam watchdog would be easy too since someone already does spam and link checking.

But I have to say: direct-message from "anyone" plus direct-message emails ... sounds like a spammers wet-dream. I already have plenty of places where I can get direct messages from strangers (including, believe it or not, by email). All of them have (and need) heavily fortified anti-spam barricades ... why would you want another such here?

The realtime UI is a great step forward but could make use of some subtle improvements by way of giving the user better visual about what is updating and when. Perhaps use fade-ins or color changes, to make the realtime-ness smoother.

@bendi; could be interesting, sometimes comments are as or more interesting that the initiating entry. it is always a toss up of commenting on an entry or wondering if your comment on that particular entry is "entry worth" itself

Arrington doesn't understand how FriendFeed connects to Twitter. It *is* a Twitter client. FF wishes that wasn't necessary but it is.

Oh, I think FF knows it is. That's why the "send to Twitter" check box is on by default. It's just a superior client in every way.

Sweet, now I want a plus button that lets me create additional notification rules. Why pick a single group to focus on out of all the groups I have created? Imagine Outlook or GMail having ten folders but only one sorting rule.

Daniel - I think you can get around this by creating a special "FF notifier" list, and putting subscriptions you want to be notified about into that list. And then just subscribe to that "FF notifier" list in the FF notifier.

Thanks, Bret. I'd still love an option for getting notified whenever someone comments on something I've commented on. I'm sure Kevin can come up with better wording for that if you decide to implement it. =)

Slight bug, at least on mine. The saved position of the settings window doesn't match that of the pop-up nortification window as before. The pop-up window is a little to the left compared to where I save the settings window. :-( I'm trying to save this in the bottom left of my second screen but it overlaps onto the first screen. So by trial and error I've got it in the right place now.
