"I wonder what the points for-against ratio is for the Pats and Colts this decade. Got a gut feeling it works out in the Pats favor. The team of the decade should have a great offense, defense and special teams, which is something the Pats have had for most of the decade, whereas the Colts just recently started playing solid defense."

"Jim, the takeaway point I see is that the team that played did the best. And it’s something I believe, the best way to prepare for playing football (in the playoffs) is to play football! Makes sense, eh? Josh, I’d be surprised if history doesn’t repeat itself. As we saw with the Saints, once you lose a game, it’s tough to keep that motivation going, especially with two weeks until you play a game that means anything."

"You know what really grinds my gears? Teams that suck that play conservative. If I’m the coach of the Detroit Lions, I’m saying screw it all, let’s kick onside kicks, go for it on 4th down, go for two point conversions, run trick plays and so on. I mean, you’ve got absolutely nothing to lose (except a top draft pick), why not play crazy? You don’t even need to always play crazy, but damn it, your team sucks, do something. Just running a standard game plan is in essence giving up because your team is not going to win games running a standard game plan because YOUR TEAM SUCKS. AAARGH! You see it all the team, sucky teams are on the 50 yard line, have a 4th and 2 and they punt. WHY? Your team sucks, the other team is going to drive down the field and humiliate you, so why not go for it. You’ll likely fail, because again your team sucks, but at least you’re trying. Seriously makes me think that a majority of teams would do no worse without a coach and just having a computer randomly pick..."

"At this point, would reaching 100 million people serve Pepsi any good? Everyone knows the Pepsi brand. Emerging companies might have still have a need for mass scale advertising but for massive, well entrenched companies with no new products, what's the point?"

"NewsFire looks intriguing and the price is right. I'm not too big on the mind mapping software but am downloading and installing Freemind right now, there's a few upcoming projects where it might come in very handy for pre-mockup type planning."

"I’m gonna make two guesses as to where you’re going: 1) San Diego, CA It’s about 20 hours away, it’s sunny, super close to Mexico, and you’ve been there before so it’s kinda familiar and it’s close to LA and Vegas. 2) Chapel Hill, NC College town, east coast, 20 hours away. If I had to bet, I’d say San Diego."

"Yeah, I mean is there any logical reason there isn’t a goal line camera? It’s not like the NFL can’t afford it. For that matter, whatever happened to those overhead cameras that would float down the field. Those would be super useful for spot of the ball calls."

"8 teams max. The NCAA won’t implement anything bigger because it’ll cause havoc on the education side. Plus, these are college kids, the 12-14 games they play is already strenuous. I’d settle for a 4 team playoff though, all I really want is for the 1-2 undefeated underdogs to just get a chance. Prestige ain’t everything. Oh, and with a playoff system we could still have bowl games. Top 8 teams go to the playoffs, the rest play bowl games.q"

"Always hated wallets. I used to have a money clip but now a days I just carry some spare cash, 1 debit card, license and a couple business cards in my back pocket. It works brilliantly."

"But it's a highly annoying flash banner that servers no purposes other than to blink and flash. It's almost worse that the banner is Flash instead of the whole site being Flash as that banner serves no purpose other than to annoy and seems tacked on to give it some glitz, which it doesn't do. Plus, the header is one of the most important parts of a site, why Flash it up for no good reason?"
- Adam Pieniazek
"And the second main reason to not use Flash? It's not needed. Javascript can do much of what Flash does nowadays. Flash has its place, making a blinking flashing logo is not one of them."

"Maybe it’s just me, but feels like we started abandoning the run after the first quarter, which was the only quarter we ended with the lead….coincidence?"

"Should've mentioned that I put in smart dummy content too, e.g. "This is an example of a left aligned image. It's from flickr.com under a creative commons license which enables others to use photos for free. Lorum ipsum etceterus." Though, that doesn't quite work out when there isn't text around the image or when you don't feel like combing through flickr for relevant photos for some super rare niche. Then, I say neutral gray box with "Photo goes here" works brilliantly."
- Adam Pieniazek
"Go to flickr and grab a few that are relevant to that site. CC licensed are best as it gives you a chance to show any photo credit/caption styling you added in. Small/large, yes."

"Yeah, it seems each cell provider sucks in some way. It's as if they all colluded behind closed doors and said "OK, Verizon, your network will rock but your customer service will suck, AT your customer service will be stellar but your network will suck, T-Mobile, you're the fallback, just make sure you don't expand too much". As for Blackberry vs. iPhone, it's all about the right tool for the job. For me, internet/terminal is the most crucial factor. The mail app is good enough for my needs and the browser is best in class."
