when dealing with multiple loops in wordpress, remember the function "wp_reset_query()" !! you can muck around with $wp_query all you want, even call query_posts() etc, and just call wp_reset_query() when you're done and you're back to the original query for the page. very handy for me, since i'm doing crazy query stuff for my main page header. i just found out i can just call this function instead of trying to manage resetting the entire query manually :P - adam.wulf
