Way to start her on the best platform, I'm surprised she's not blogging already.

Make sure you start her off with wordpress or posterous :)

Twitter + Worpdress + MacBook Air = "Look Who's Talkin'" :P
- Adam Jackson
Never too young to start, but she should start with microblogging before she moves up to full blogging. Get her a Twitter account and let her bang on the keyboard just like 5 yr old @miamalarkey and make sure you archive those tweets for posterity.

Today was the last day for one of my students and she gave me this letter (I had to play with the contrast to make it legible, since she wrote it in highlighter!). It brought a smile to my face :)
It's amazing what a positive influence a great teacher can have on a young personality. 30 years on, I still remember a teacher who made me feel the way your student feels about you - a lady called Miss Phillips; she unraveled maths for me and made learning feel an adventure rather than a chore.

This is not the child's actual name: Really Simple Scoble. :-)

___ Soroush Scoble. What a fun game! Robert and Rasputin are likely out. And what a marvelous melding of names; American techie communities are full of cultural mashups. Here's to looking forward to 9/26 for mystery's end.

My own initials spell out RSS. LT, good one.
- Rob Schieber
Maybe that's not such a good idea, with Steve Gillmor parading around claiming it is dead. XMPP would be more apt, but don't ask me what the initial would stand for. One gnarly name.

That reminds me of a humorous website where you could input letters like these and it would give you a humorously formed acronym - I remember bookmarking it and cant seem to find it...
