"I'm from a small small small town about an hour south of Syracuse. I live in California now, but when I tell people that I'm from New York they instantly think I'm a city guy.... I couldn't be farther from one!"

"In this picture I was promoted to CPL during the time when the Army was making the transition so both ACU's and BDU's were authorized. I was one of the few who had ACU's and when they said I was getting promoted later that day, I changed into BDU's... which did not go unnoticed. So they put forth the extra effort to make sure I "enjoyed" my promotion. Blood went through my t-shirt and onto the BDU's which still has the stain today."

"When you used to get promoted (at least in the Army) it was done with pin on rank on the collar. During the ceremony they would pin it on and hand you the dammit's to save time or otherwise give them an excuse to pat the rank to make sure it stays on."

"Before you read into w3schools you might want to visit http://w3fools.com/ Although they do tend to nitpick a lot of minor issues, they do point out the validity of w3schools certificates and everything."

"I dated a Korean girl while stationed in South Korea. She would teach my Army friends how to speak Korean incorrectly. One friend wanted to hit on this one chick and tell her she was pretty, my girlfriend taught him how to say "I'm a fat cow". The worse thing she did was teach a friend who was trying to push through a crowd how to say "excuse me". I didn't catch it until after he started saying it (one of the few things I knew how to say) but he was very politely telling everyone around him the equivalent of "fuck you, fuck you" (게새기). He had no clue what he was saying and was surprised how people were so politely moving out of his way. My girlfriend just said "yes, Koreans are very polite"... I just glared at her ಠ\_ಠ"
