Owning a gun with zero training is very common, since conceal/carry is next-level, voluntary, and usually somewhat expensive ($100+ for the weekend course, at least in NC, TN and KY). Any one can buy a gun and there's no requirement they demo any proficiency- it's dangerous, and that's the current state of affairs. I don't think more men know how to cook than women, but I'm not seeing why being sad has anything to do with it. I'd like to see men and women as equals despite the obvious and not so obvious differences. - Derrick

I think it's more of a personality trait than a gender thing. I like to cook because I am picky about what I eat and I have some intolerance issues (gluten, dairy, onion), plus I like good food. I also go through phases when I just want to nosh on whatever is handy and doesn't require a pan and a hot burner. - Corinne L
