#SaturdayFF Whenever I’m walking outside listening to my iPhone(Pod), (especially yesterday listening to my Guetta & Kanye playlist) I just feel this huge URGE to break out with the rhythm and DANCE! Damn boy! I want to grab random passerbys on the street as my dance partners for the moment, especially those people who just seem so sad,
I want to tell them it’s okay, that they’re beautiful and so is life, see if I can make em smile; if only for a moment :) Almost like I’m in a club, I wanna move it, twirl it, skip along, put my hands in the Aaiiirr...Alas, I don’t want to get arrested, but once I do get to my condo, and no one’s watching. I immediately shake it up down the hallway, tear it up in the elevator, right up until I finally get back to my place. I <3 IT! ~ I know, crazy right xD

This is still making me laugh. What were you drinking last night, Mr. Gray?
- Martha
Martha, I don't drink anything more toxic than Diet Coke. This was the Jon half of the Jon and Kate costume pair. I didn't have much opportunity to look Korean, however.
- Louis Gray
It is a most excellent costume and you pull off the lips beautifully. I like the pair pose as well.
- Martha
Indeed, I do. I was so jealous when someone posted from the west coast about eating crepes filled with Nutella, whipped cream and strawberries, but there was nowhere I could go for that. I was in Cincinnati yesterday and took advantage of Jungle Jim's proximity to pick up some things I can't find in town, and when I saw crepes (which I will NOT make myself), I nabbed 'em! Now I need the other three ingredients.

Reckon the comments in mutiple languages, I think the love for Nutella is a worldwide phenoma. <3 I think Nutella is the key to world peace. ;)
- Olivia Lovag
Nope. Neither the chocolate nor the hazelnut flavor seems to pop out to me, it just tastes sweet. I'd rather have the fresh ground chocolate peanut butter from Whole Foods.

Keyko, stop rebumping same old posts. Now Nutella makes me throw up. Would you still like something that you see 3/4 times per day?
- Apostocosì (Vulvia)
Hi :) I'll write recipes with nutella a.s.a.p :P
- SanalMutfak (M)
No, it's disgusting. The worst such hazelnut cream produced, sticky, oversweet and at the same time flavorless. There are bunches of much better similar creams around, not necessarly hugely more costly: Novi cream is hugely better and still in the same price range!
- Alice Twain
Alice come on... a little spoon of Nutella could make you less ... :P
- Eta e basta
use translate button keiko :) (I know It doesn't perfect)
- SanalMutfak (M)
@Eta, nutella is disgusting. not hazelnut creams. The point is that nutella has next to no hazelnut in, that's part of what makes it so bad. Again, try some better hazelnut creams, stuff that does not feel like sugary glue in your mouth but rather is silky with a distinct taste of toasted hazelnut. You will taste the difference.
- Alice Twain
I'm in it for the chocolate, not the nut

In Italian, "Slurp" is an onomatopoeia, i.e. this word means that someone is licking him/her own lips while thinking about the goodness of a food.
- Smeerch
It may comfort you to know that you will remember that moment forever.
- m9m, Crone of FriendFeed
Micah, I had a similar moment when my (now 13-year-old) daughter sprained her ankle recently. I had to carry her to the car and it struck me how much she had grown.

I feel this way a thousand times a day. Bitter. And Sweet. Bittersweet.
- Martha
Mine are four, too. Right there with ya. Just appreciating the moments by being in them. The memories are always with you, and there's always something to look forward to ... the stuff like Little League and that first hit. I was a handful as a teenager. To CW's point, I'm hoping karma short-circuits before I get my due.

And yes, the wiminze do find the boy attractive. The great thing is he doesn't take advantage of it at all. He's remains humble and extremely gracious. He made captain early this year (West Point grad). He's probably headed back overseas come February.
- MoTO #TeamMonique
You mean Marines? No... but he just completed his Master's Degree. Owns rental property and rides one o' them bullet motor-sickles. The boy has the world by the tail.
- MoTO #TeamMonique
Oh and he played DB for Army. Got a look from a few scouts, even a couple of tryouts, but nothing panned out. He's just glad for the shot.
- MoTO #TeamMonique
Nephew just text paged me to let me know that he he ships out to Iraq next week. While I am extremely proud of the type of man he's become and the way he has stepped up I am less than enthused that he is (again) going into harm's way. I may need a minute.
- MoTO #TeamMonique
Ahh, that's right. It was because G+ natively supports animated gifs.
- Kevin Fox
If Google+ had a "minus" button, I would be clicking it in relation to Kevin's declaration, well, obviously I'd need access to G+/- as well, but anyway.
- Le Slip Anglais
Following up on Cecily's added info, is the hand you put on top your dominant hand? It isn't for me - I'm right handed but fold my left on top. Are the two things related, and I'm just weird, or is it actually not related at all?
- Jandy
That looks like a complete blast to me too.
- Martha
With my two, one of their favorite games was one in which I was the toy. I'd lie on the floor on my back, and one limb would mysteriously pop up into the air. I'd keep up a pattern of left arm - right leg - right arm - left leg - repeat (or whatever), and they had so many laughs trying to make all four limbs stay down. I think they were around 10-12 before they really figured out the game and were strong enough to hold down arms AND legs. Until then, it was a favorite. :-)
- Ordinarybug Heather
I just deleted my Google+ account. My head isn't in a good place when it comes to social media right now and all I'm doing is being a wet blanket. This is a positive thing. I'll look again when it goes public... but for now, I'm gonna just be creative, not negative. Peace and love :)
I'm keeping my account there, and I'll be going over there for Hangouts, but that's about it.
- Headless Gnad Kicker
Will miss you but totally understand. Hope things align the way you want them too.

Seriously, I don't know what pissed you off over there, but you gotta get all healed up and get your ass over there. At least until it crumbles magnificently and then we can all scurry back over to FF, our security blanket.

This is clearly not my cat. If this was my cat he's have one arm shoved down into the printer trying to tear up all the internal whirling bits with his bare claws.

Too Funny! Reminds me of the San Mateo Cat Shelter where one of the cats loves to sleep on top of the laster printer where the paper comes out...

Petr, I have no idea what you mean, but thank you. :-)
- Kol Tregaskes
@Kol .. :] that, partially, might have been the purpose.... I don't know it exactly either. :] .. was I reflecting on a cat under the fax, and that it is hard to fax that way ... /?:] ... "underfaxing at its worst" ..
- pb:
there ya have me ! :] .... see, to be honest with you, i saw this pic couple days ago, but i let it go, without posting it ..... what does that make me? :]
- pb:
even a flat cat... faxes just can't handle the hair. You'd have to shave the cat first, else the hair will burn and stick to the drum... a mess! (I am extrapolating from transparencies, mind, i don't have access to a cat to test)
- Iphigenie
Hehe, Joelle. This is now tied for the 'likes' top stop. One more then, hehe. :-)
- Kol Tregaskes
Hehe, Greg. Blimey! Erm, is that not far from 500 likes now? ;-)

Bloody marvelous, Kol. Wish I could like it again... too cute (and help u to 500 likes).
- Roberto Bonini
I couldn't believe it when I logged on from the morning over posting it and saw it was at something 200 likes! You all have a strange fetish with cats and fax machines, hehe. ;-)
- Kol Tregaskes
Am I the only one who saw this and their first thought was - My goodness did someone break that cats neck? It still freaks me out a little
- SteVe C
Steve, it does look a little out of place, but cats are pretty bendy. ;-)
- Kol Tregaskes
So we can put this post to rest now. :-) 505 likes final count, wow! :-D Good night all!

It will be curious to see how it ends up. G+ isn't as good as FF for the art of conversation, but it does have support and lots of people.
- Todd Hoff
It's been low but also because I'm busy with work. I started to share more from Google reader to here though. To at least keep my feed active with more than just tumblr.
- Zulema ❧ spicy cocoa tart
Seems a bit quieter. Then again, I have been a bit busy, so it's mainly been Twitter updates or fiddling in G+ as it's the new, shiny thing for me as of late.
- JA Castillo
Not great but that's more because we've been moving and didn't have Internet connectivity.

Isolated showers of rain at the probability of 20%.
- Ashish
The same as it's been for about a year. Not high. Not near, say 2 years ago. But that's more down to me not being very active here than I have been in the past.
- Kol Tregaskes
About the same as it ever was. I haven't got *that* many comments & likes since making my 2nd acct here private. There have been times when I've been logged in to both FF and G+ and FF has been more hopping, though. Really.
- Spidra Webster
Same as usual... down to practically zero engagement. A couple of likes here and there.
- Adrian
About the same. G+ has proven to be too noisy for me (and I'm already sick of most of the things in my G+ feed being about G+) so I haven't shifted there like others. That being said, my engagement on FF was already low due to being tired of social interaction lately. I'm just kind of burned out on the internet right now.
- Hookuh Tinypants
About the only way to get involvement here is to DM something to a short list of people who you know are interested in certain topics. Unless of course you are one of the "cool people of the moment", in which case you can take a crap and get 25 comments in 15 minutes.
- Adrian
I'm here nearly as much as before but since others aren't - or, like me, they're flitting between platforms - the engagement has understandably decreased.
- Mark H
5 hours. Wow. That's gotta be some sort of record.
- Jim #TeamMonique
It's just been a busy week. Otherwise, it would be about normal.
- Julian
quantity is slightly less thanks to certain ppl jumping ship, but the quality is still there and that's what counts for me.
- Hieronymous Boosh
I pop in and out the same way I've done since the Facebook takeover. But then, I flit between platforms anyway, except that there's now 4 platforms to flit between instead of just 3. (I never took to Wave, Buzz, Quora, or any number of lifestreaming services.)
- Dennis Jernberg
@Adrian: I wish I could Like your comment. I notice that once Scoble, Pirillo, Linus, or one of the celebrities posts anything about anything (our hypothetical example was a fart), it's more like 100 comments in 15 seconds. One little Linus Torvalds post about his scuba gear got 86 likes in the first minute! It was more like "OMG IT'S LINUS!!!1!!1" than anything. If anything, you're underestimating. :p
- Dennis Jernberg
Vacationing in the real world. I'll be active here again.
- Bruce Lewis
sorta on the low end, though hard to say, but I believe its due to G+, but once that honeymoon's over, it really is just Buzz v 2.0, I can see users becoming more active again. Also, it's summer time, people do suff, like outside :)
- sofarsoShawn
Yup. It's harder when the difference is a big percentage.
- Kirsten
London has shit for bookstores, so I mostly save up book shopping for the two or three times a year that I go to Toronto, and then I spend all my money supporting the specialty shops there, because they do things that Amazon doesn't, like hosting author readings (and it's becoming more common for the authors to be friends/acquaintances of mine)
- DJF
We often buy games from our local games shop- they do other stuff too, which we don't use but can see our son using in the future. Plus they are really helpful :)
- Pete #TeamMonique
Buying a new car battery at my local mechanic even though it was cheaper at Pep Boys. I really like this guy though and I didn't have to wait.

I hate going to big box stores so much that if I shop in person, it's usually at a mom & pop. But I do order stuff online from chains.
- laura x
Yes - but then I also feel grateful about having the few extra dollars that allow making that choice.
- Rachel Walden
+1 to Rachel - I am well aware that I'm lucky to be able to decide to shop locally, many people have no choice but to go to Wal-Mart. We have no "true" Mom & Pop grocery stores, but our Hy-Vee is pretty close and is definitely more expensive - but I prefer to shop there, really.
- WebGoddess
There are great charts about how much money stays in the local economy when you buy from mom and pop's. I just like being a regular at a place where the people know my name and my preferences. :D
- Andy
It depends on the item and the value-add of a mom & pop store. There aren't many of them in the area that meet my regular shopping needs, so I'd need a reason to shop there in the first place. I do tend to go to local hardware stores rather than buy stuff at big box stores, mostly because the people working there know what they're doing and aren't just stocking shelves. However, I'm not going to buy toiletries from the local drug store because the pricing and selection are not worth it.
- Royce's favorite Anna
I have kind of a weird mix right now, without a car - I'm walking to more local places for things, but also doing more ordering online and getting things wherever I can walk to that have them.
- Rachel Walden
I think about it, Derrick, and I mix it up a bit. I buy stuff frequently at the local comic store and hobby store, but on bigger-ticket items, I can't ignore the discounts I might get at a place like Amazon. I want to have them both, so I patronize them both.
- Steele Lawman
I typically buy from places that give me a good shopping experience. I'm not as concerned with whether something is "local" or "chain" or "big". Sometimes a big chain store will give me a better experience; sometimes a small mom & pop store will give me a better experience. I pick based on which experience I prefer, not based on whether it's big or small.
- Amit Patel
Nope. I refuse to believe it. They're still teeny tiny little babies. STOP MAKING ME REALISE HOW QUICKLY THE YEARS ARE SHOOTING BY!!!!!!!

I'm going to visit Lis tonight again at Las Encinas - she asked if I could gather up any messages you guys might write to her so she has something to read and some measure of support from her friends here. Could you guys comment here with anything you'd like to say to her or share with her? Thanks!
Please tell Lis that she is in my thoughts and that I hope things are getting better every day for her.

Jandy, thank you for this. Can you just let her know that I love her and I'm thinking about her. I'm proud of her for everything she's done lately, and especially now for reaching out and getting help and letting us all know. Thanks to everyone for your comments! I printed them out and took them to Lis last night - she said she read through them five times and knowing you all are thinking about her is really helping. They're still taking it a day at a time, largely working on calming her anxiety down and getting her sleep schedule stabilized to the point where she and the doctor think it's safe to make the cross-country trip to DC (then she'll continue getting help there to finish balancing out the other medications).
