"Interesting, the concept likely applies in some domain, but not convinced organizing neighborhoods is the starting point. Here in the suburbs, many of my neighbors couldn't care less about getting to know their neighbors. Even the more friendly folks are quite busy and distracted. Unless there's a disaster, location doesn't deem to matter much anymore in the way most people organize their social life.
