This is awesome! - Kyle Lacy
very cool... - Morgan
cool. but I wonder if it will only increase the gap between the haves and the have-nots? - Josh Haley
This is just another way to encourage 'popularity' contests. I'm not digging it. - Mona N.
I agree Mona - Shey
I think it's neat. It's only a popularity contest if you look at it that way. I think its another cool way of finding cool posts and people to follow. Data is what you make it :) - Steve Isaacs
Plus it seems very well designed and implemented - props to the programmers! - Steve Isaacs
I agree with Mona. Down with these popularity contests. - Shawn Farner
Interesting informations and statistics in FFholic user's feed ---> http://friendfeed.com/ffholic like "%12.0548 of FriendFeed users are private! (data based on FFholic.com)" - Erhan Erdogan
i don't mind popularity contests. i mind the people that take them too seriously. - Morgan
To me, this site is less about the "most popular" people, and more about finding most popular items (and by person). It is interesting at least. - Louis Gray
And thanks to 'popular' people like you, LG, that share items, the 'popularity' is spread evenly :) I just don't like seeing people getting feelings hurt over lists and websites. We're no longer in high school... - Mona N.
It's funny, while I see an email everytime someone follows me, I have no idea who many people that is now. I don't even know where to look. I don't think I even want to know :) - Johnny Worthington
I want to like this entry, but you have a pic of arrington. - Alan Le
What's nice right now is that most people really only like entries that show up in their FF screen, so this gives us (at the moment) a broader spectrum of the various FF niches. - Justin Long
Erhan why U deleting the Fun comments? Is this a private club? That is why ffholic is FAIL Good luck! - Igor The Troll
Igor: I don't find you as a FUNNY boy and also I have no relation with this good job. Also ALSO also bye BYE! - Erhan Erdogan
Maybe U do not know the inside story! See U! - Igor The Troll
What just happened here? Was that an argument.. I am confused. - Kyle Lacy
Just give this a read and then do as U like Delete my comments and anything else that strikes you fancy! Freedom of Speech http://www.igorthetroll.com/bl... Social Media Fail http://www.igorthetroll.com/bl... No Qualms just Choices! - Igor The Troll
Create an application that finds the most interesting people who AREN'T being followed and I'm there. Maybe.. scan popular links shared by popular users and see who actually shared it first. - Shawn Farner
I saw this post in the most-liked last 24 hours list - great job! - Erhan Erdogan
+1 @Shawn Farner - m.i.a
Maybe create an application by the people mostly blocked! And I am not talking about Spammers but with relationship to solid comments! There are some interesting controversial people on Friend Feed who have been blocked by a few A-Listers and many others just jumped on the band wagon! It is too easy to make a judgment by first impression without really knowing about the person! Anyway just alternatives to most likes! - Igor The Troll
been checking this one out - (jeff)isageek
This entry is in the most liked list of ffholic.com! Congrats! :) - FFholic.com
WTF...don't like that - ♫ Rahsheen ™ ★
Holic: Congrats to you! ; ) We want more features, graphs, statistics and also daily, weekly, monthly reports to our emails. I want to be your premium member for these. : ) - Erhan Erdogan
thanks erhan they are all on the way ;) thank you for your great support! - FFholic.com
Fantastic. - Russellreno
Yikes! - Charlie Anzman
looks interesting, I suppose. My only concern is that FFholic has been a bit spammy here on friendfeed in the last day or so. - Slippy Lane
Now ffholic has a room directory. - Erhan Erdogan

...or are you sticking with what you've got now? - l0ckergn0me
I'll hang onto my Samsung SGH-A737 (AT&T). It's 3G, does everything I need it to without a lot of features I'll never access. I rarely use it to connect to the web. For that I've got my laptop and Nokia 770. - Jack Carlson
I'm going to wait for an Android phone. - John Ruth
Yes and yes. :) - Tad, TV's Patrick Duffy
I want an iGotYouBabe. - directeur
I want a Blackberry Bold, more features - clarke thomas
Yes...but not on AT&T network; that whole warrant-less wire tapping issue leaves me feeling unloved. - JA Castillo
NO, I have Sprint SERO (can't beat the price :-) - Thomas Ho via fftogo
Yes, but we also have ubiquitous 3G here as well :-) - Duncan Riley
cant give up the 5 inch screen (and cooked ROMS) on my htc advantage. - Aura Mae via fftogo
I'm conflicted, not rushing though. - Leif Hansen
I'm getting one and using my old iPhone for development - Mike Hussein Cohen
only when it is available on a 3G network I can use at home and that does not think $70AU for 200Mb is a reasonable price for data - Nick Cowie via twhirl
@nickcowie I'm paying $29.95 a month on Optus for the same amount of data. Dump Telstra! Also I know Optus offer a $39.95 unlimited data blackberry plan, I'm hoping that they'll offer something similar with the iphone - Duncan Riley
I have a miniature brick phone, no Internet. Yeah, I want an iPhone. - Hutch Carpenter
I'm definitely getting one ... if nothing else to consolidate my Apple fanboyism!!! - John Daly
Move with caution - AT&T's 3G network in the US is still basically city only http://www.wireless.att.com/co... (Looks like a good resale market for the older phones ?!) - Charlie Anzman
@duncanriley optus and vodafone do not have 3G coverage at my house. On 3, $54 for 6Gb on laptops + $20 for 500Mb on phone. Telstra sucks, need iPhone on 3 - Nick Cowie via twhirl
After three or four years of Treo, I'm likely switching to the iP3G - Roger Benningfield
Want? Yeah, I guess. But I'm very happy with my iPhone already, so I'm not "upgrading". Trying to talk my wife into getting one for herself? Definitely. - John Frenette via twhirl
it depends on the price, and they have not yet announced the price for the new iPhone here in Germany - Baard Overgaard Hansen
Yes I do. But it depends on the costs... - Håkan Dahlström
Yup, I'm definitely upgrading from my current iPhone to the 3G. - Alexander Falk via twhirl
definitely. will get one asap=) - ellaconic via twhirl
sure! ...but not before july 11th! *gg* - Dieter Schwarz
Without AT - Jigar Mehta via bTT
No. The old iPhone works fine. If i need fast internet, then there is plenty around to leach. Flush headphone jack socket, now that nearly convinced me :) - Steve Allen via Alert Thingy
I think I may actually get one. - Sean Oliver

Inevitable. We'll see if YouTube ups the ante. - l0ckergn0me
Awesome! - Beau Liening
Very cool, I was hoping they'd come out with one. Hard to believe the quality will be anything but choppy though. - Leif Hansen
Now just for Blackberry support.... - Aaron Myers
The iPhone can't RECORD video, so play only. A ScobblePhone it is not. - TranceMist
@TranceMist -The iphone can record video, if its jailbroken. And I'm sure a slew of video apps (much better thanthe choppy current ones) will be out on the 11th. - Leif Hansen
@TranceMist: Using the iPhone Video Recorder for jailbroken iPhones, I can shoot and upload vids directly to YouTube. It is not streaming and not great quality, but it records video and audio. - Liana Lehua
What annoys me is they've only come out with this now because Fixwagon beat them to it. - Duncan Riley
Yeah exactly Duncan, this was pretty pathetic IMHO. - MG Siegler
What bothers me is how short their demo was. It almost seemed like it wasn''t functional since they cut it so fast - Bwana
Heh hopefully this doesn't make for more qik spam on twitter, though I have moved more to plurk now - BCK
I wish QIK would integrate with Windows Mobile sometime soon. I have been dying to use there service. - Mike Fruchter
The question one needs to ask will the application run on phones that have not been jailbroke - Todd Cochrane via twhirl
Duncan if you think Qik started working on this yesterday I have a cool bridge in SF that I would like to sell you. Qik showed off Windows Mobile last week. - Robert Scoble
looking forward to it - very much so - Alexander Falk via twhirl
Robert did they mention when it would be available to win mobile users? - Mike Fruchter
A couple of weeks. - Robert Scoble

I could but why would I want to... I do like what the author said about getting off the social media sidelines and actually visiting sites though. Commenting is how you know a blog is getting read... If it has 100 comments on friendfeed but none on the site how do you know anyone is reading it? I still make a effort to make most of my comments on the blog itself. - Brad
Only if I'm forced to, like a vacation to a remote country. - Mike Reynolds
may not have a choice after Sunday if I can't sweet talk my phone company into an extension - such is real life I guess - Steven Hodson
I'd miss it, but yes, I think I could. - Tom Landini
no freakin' way !!!!!!!!! ha, ha! I know Loius can't either!! hhehehehe!! - Susan Beebe (Santa Claus)
Of course, I spent 40 years without it. But I do think the people on here are interesting and will continue to read, participate, and learn. - Eric Thompson
easily. I just did - last week... - Alexander Falk
Hi Stephen... yep, you've drank the FF Koolaid too, huh?! - Susan Beebe (Santa Claus)
You know you've made it when people wonder if they can stay away.... - torque
of course you can, anyone can, that's completely off the point. nobody who USES friendfeed would choose not to, because it fills a purpose for them. granted i'm sure a number of users are still working on figuring out if/how FF is useful for them. for me, it's useful, so why would I debate *not* using it? i could choose not to use google reader, techmeme, or other services as well - except they are all in some way work-relevant for me. - Jeremy Toeman
Not sure but willing to try - Eric
why will you do that? - Cesar Sanchez
I was on vacation the last week of May and with limited internet connectivity really decided to avoid the computer as much as I could. FF was the thing I really missed and the first thing I checked upon my return. - Kevin Shannon
I've done it before and I *could* maybe do it again if needed - BCK via twhirl
Planning on it, in fact. Gonna be unplugged for 10 days in Mexico. - Jauder Ho via twhirl
I just did without even planning it. I've been sort of busy giving notice at my job, trying to find a new job, trying to move to a whole different town, etc. so it wasn't too hard. Plus, I'm leaving on vacation in 2 days so I'll do it again. And I called myself an addict less than 2 weeks ago. *rolls eyes* It is nice to know that you are all still here and I can set aside some time to catch up as much as possible in a little while. :-) - Lisa L. Seifert
I think it is totally possible by finding something to do in your real life. - Shawn Farner via twhirl
I'm kind of on a forced FF fast... too much work and sidework for this week and probably the next 2-3. I miss FF though :(. - Lindsay Donaghe
http://xkcd.com/77/ says it all. By all means it classifies as an addiction; too hard to resist. - Parth Awasthi
Gone for 10 minutes and already miss FF. - Mike Fruchter
I spent almost two weeks without the net recently and loved it. I really, really thought I'd miss all this stuff, but I didn't. At all. - Nathan Howell
good job- i have 2 weeks planned coming up. - anna

The addition of filter by room is awesome, and inline comments is nice - but when do we get to see seesmic in thwirl?!? - Tony via twhirl
great job loic and the twhirl team!! - Morgan via twhirl
Great: rooms, auto-throttling - Not so great: FF posts take up so much room, less posts are visible at the same time - Can't wait for Seesmic support! - Garrido via twhirl
Loic - First impressions are fantastic - Ed Dale via twhirl
its there and update feature to twhirl or do I need to download and re-install? - rambn
Hey - I like it! Could you add support for opening a new tab when right clicking links? I hate how it overrides my current page! - Zach Landes via twhirl
I really like the new FF features. Can't wait to see Seesmic added to the mix. - Dana Franks via twhirl
Great update - thanks to Marco! - Marco Sascha Sven Hoppe via twhirl
rambn - click on the twhirl icon (top left) then click "Update" tab, then "Check for Update" - Thomas Knoll via twhirl
Thomas: thanks! - rambn
really liking this update - Josiah Lau via twhirl
where's the Seesmic support you hinted at earlier? - dbcohen via twhirl
i love the look & feel - sam via twhirl
love the ability to scroll through comments - Danish Khan via twhirl
Sweet! - Tom
I'm ready to say that this is the first version of Twhirl with FF that I am willing to use, actually. - Phil Glockner via twhirl
Tony, Seesmic is coming in a few weeks. Morgan thanks, Garrido it is coming, Ed thanks, rambn yes auto update close it you will see, Zachary working on that, Dana me too!, Marco yes Marco rocks, Josiah thanks, Dave it is not in this one, thanks Sam, Danish and Tom - Loic Le Meur via twhirl
so twhirl >> alert thingy?? - Josiah Lau via twhirl
I am a big fan of Twhirl and it keeps getting better - Mark Nassal via twhirl
WOWOWOWOW ... You guys are putting your release schedule on steriods! code monkies!!! I like all the new feature improvements! keep up the good work! - Susan Beebe (Santa Claus)
This caused me to dump alert thingy even though there are differences. Always liked Twhirl too bad it has picked up some hiccups from Twitter which is already the meme of legend in these parts... - Mark Forman
I'm in! This will def cause me to use friend feed more. - Evan Travers via twhirl
This is a nice feature. Just upgraded to the new version to use this. But your blog is never unblocked by the Great Firewall here. - Jianjun Zhang via twhirl
Comments inline work well, but make it hard to keep a track of whats going on. I guess thats more of a FF issue tho, nested conversations are much more complex than the flat twitterlike comments. - Steve Mactaggart via twhirl
I guess I'm getting used to it - without doubt, it's an improvement, thnx Loic and Marco - Garrido via twhirl
and try the pic share feature, it takes a few seconds to do what really looks like like a short blog post, a pic, a text and a link et voila! - Loic Le Meur
Loic, great update to twhirl, clean interface, more intuitive - Ralph Poole via twhirl
Nice update! Is there any shortcuts for Twhirl?? - Alex Sauceda via twhirl
still trying to get my head around friend feed in twhirl.... - djp via twhirl
Still not like the interface. Still not see the reason why we need a specific app for friendfeed. Some stuff could be sorted via a easy firefox extension e.g. notification. - Benjamin Kohler via twhirl
I'm not sure about this, but my main concern.. why does my FF feed in Twhirl look almost completely different than what I see on the web? Am I the only one seeing this? - felix
Love the new changes - a few issues still with the commenting. It remembers the past comment when I write a new one instead of clearing the box, and it also clears out my comment box every time the feed refreshes. - Jesse Stay via twhirl
Nice work! Loving the improvements! - Lon via twhirl
Great new features. Testing it out now. - Corvida
FriendFeed is going to be seeing a lot more activity because of this. Cheers to the Twhirl team! - Mark Frost via twhirl
Test! -------> Cool! - americanm via twhirl
Just tested it.. amazing.. thx for the update - BRIAN RITCHIE via twhirl
Instead of two windows, give me two tabs like gtalk (browser) - Mrinal Desai
Great update. Good work. - Bernd Sailer via twhirl
Really like the updates Loic! - Parth Awasthi
well - i´m still not sure, if I should prefer AlertThingy or Twhirl ;) - Dieter Schwarz via twhirl
Really digging the reduced memory usage. Before twhirl would growto over 500MB and now it's pretty steady at 150MB or so. Thanks! - Jauder Ho via twhirl

"Erhan clicked ''Reply' to directeur' button": User generated love :-) Thanks ;-) - Erhan Erdogan
Exactly! And associating that users generated love with attention profiling is just wonderful :) - directeur
"Erhan clicked ''Reply' to directeur' button": APML is really inspiring :-) I'm creating a new markup language for business networks now. Wait for this ;-) You will "Like" it too! ;-) - Erhan Erdogan
I'm sure I will! :) Go ahead share the wisdom! - directeur
"Erhan clicked ''Reply' to directeur' button": oF COURSE - Web is our future too ;-) That's not only for SF ;-) - Erhan Erdogan
Hey guys, I understand the value of tagging taxonomies and I understand how much more elegant and less intrusive they can be when they're built in to the system instead of grafted on to another feature of the site (such as comments). My point with sharing the above photos was the serendipity of two very different pictures that shared a similar uplifting spirit and shape. :-) - Kevin Fox
Kevin: Yes I understand, I was only suggesting in fact :) - directeur
sorry kevin : ) I just saw you and a similar post(attention profile alert! : ) then I promoted my idea here : ) But thanks thanks thanks for your comment ;-) My ego is ok now :-) - Erhan Erdogan
