Ugh...still looking for a Twitter app with KB shortcuts ala Google Reader. Doesn't have to be web based. Will anyone come to my rescue? *Sigh*
- Adam Grandy
Yeah, actually I think I would. Bring back some memories.
- Louis Simoneau
I would. I like looking at stuff I've done in the past, even something as minor and silly as Tweets. I've always been a bad paper diarykeeper, so things like this are like little tiny diaries. So-to-speak. :)
- SOMEBODY!
Probably. I'm narcissistic enough that I reread stuff I wrote all the time. :) But as for actual usefulness, even that maybe. I recently rebuilt a couple of documents that I lost in a hard drive crash by finding the related data on my blog, FriendFeed, and Twitter streams.

No but the alternative is conversation with friends in person and I wouldn't want to listen to those in 20 yrs either.
- Adam Grandy
Since I started using twitter, I have used the API to archive all my tweets, plus any tweets that I reply to or that reply to me. I have used it many times to recall certain topics, find what day I did something, or find what I was doing on a particular day. But I'm also addicted to data and stats :)

I'd probably strip out the urls, but then i ought to have got them into my delicious-or-whatever thingy by then already.

"If the reports are true that Robert Gates will stay on as President Obama's defense secretary, the move is a stroke of brilliance—politically and substantively."

Have heard this a number of times. Why is it the case?
- jamesdkirk
I agree. I think this would be a great move. Hope it happens.
- Drew Lucas
@jamesdkirk I guess ppl think this is good (I'm one) because he's done well: fixing the Walter Reed hospital scandal, dealing with the Air Force with the nuclear weapon mishandling and overseeing two wars. Beyond his management ability it seems like there is something to be said for continuity for the sake of nat'l security.
- Adam Grandy
Interesting move. Good to have some folks who've been there, done that and are good managers!
