"You can undervalue your equipment on the auction house so that it will sell quickly and still for much more than a vendor will take it for. For example if you have a decet weapon and NPC will give you 600 gold for it just sell it for 6,000 on the AH. Sure it might be worth 20k if you can be bothered waiting but when you only have 10 slots you want to maximize your turn over, or as you say you will run out of stash and AH space and be stuck with a bunch of crap for ages." - Andrew Fox
