MT jst gave out my psswrd to a friend who hosts his site on my server. That pswd is for my FTP. Y is it in cleartext? Tht is social engg!

uh. FTP requires cleartext passwords... unless you are using FTPS; but it still gets sent "in the clear" during the TLS/SSL connection.

but you don't say passwords over the phone. especially if the person asking is not the hosting owner.

Also dumped MT. Would take forever to just spin up a plain old instance on GridServer after it had been idle for awhile. ~30sec page load times. Linode/Slicehost
