Back To School: Expand Your Brain with Evernote - http://lifehacker.com/5041631...
A universal capture application is only as good as its ability to catch information no matter where you are and what you're doing. With support for accessing and adding notes from your cellphone, through any web browser, or through the desktop version, the most popular note-taking application Evernote is perhaps the closest option to a true universal capture tool available next to plain old pen and paper. - Ryan

So, how do you avoid blogging burnout? Share your tips here!
With all the posting about burnout, keeping score, etc. what are your tips for pushing past the blogging blahs and keeping the content coming? For me it's diving in to new sources of information... - Morgan
I keep reading. As long as I read I continue to have fresh ideas, whether they are on the topic of the book or not. - Tony
Keep reading, keeping finding new sources of information. If it is fatigue or burnout, then do take a break, go outside, commune with nature. - Dave "Freedom 35"
David, I agree. Unplugging for a bit is always a good way to rejuvenate. - Morgan
Time Management (As difficult for me as many others). Mandatory change of scenery at least weekly and at least few hours a day - Charlie Anzman
endurance is more important than truth. - Thomas Hawk
Blog about anything and everything. In my personal blog, I have the latitude to do that. - Ontario Emperor
@thomas - care to elaborate? i'm intrigued... - Morgan
good points vincent. i like to keep a library of thoughts or a few sentences of posts i've wanted to write for when i'm tapped. i also look to the MSM for ideas - usually they're inaccurate or paint in broad strokes which provides plenty of opportunity for additional analysis. - Morgan
I blog about what I am passionate about, and it just so happens to be my full-time company as well. If I get burned out, I stop for a few hours ;) - Andru Edwards
Morgan, something Charles Bukowski once said. Truth is important, universally, but calling endurance more important than truth elevates it to a new level as part of the creative process. Whether book after book by Lee Friedlander or Gene Smith's spiral of addiction with the city of Pittsburgh or Warhol's ceaseless art of creating art for money or Kerouac's speed induced frenzy that become "On the Road," true vision is frequently accompanied by high feats of endurance. - Thomas Hawk
I suspect many of who are considered great bloggers maintain similar levels of endurance. Eg. Arrington never sleeps, Scoble lives it 24/7 etc. Renewing your inspiration based on the significance of endurance is where motivation sometimes lives. - Thomas Hawk
I have to agree with Vincent Ferrari. FF has seriously improved my online activites. - Roberto Bonini
thanks thomas - that is a great insight. it does seem that those that reach the highest heights in their respective fields are the ones who endure longer than the rest. - Morgan
great point vincent. i have found that to work as well. i blogged, then added podcasts for variety, did some vlogs, then back to writing - well put! - Morgan
blog less - Stefan Hayden
I post when I have something to say. Other than that, I try not to worry about it. - Steve Olson
what if you experience burnout and need to find a way to reboot? - Mister Groonk
I'm fairly new to blogging, but I try to 1) Change scenery (coffee shop) 2) Read more 3) Take a break and come back to it. - Jonathan.Rivera

Inbox, zero'd. I'm starting to *really* use Highrise. It's so nice to let it do the remembering & remindering of all things important.
I love Highrise. I wish it had more pipeline-management features, but from a productivity perspective it's been amazing! What are you using it for? - jakebf
@Jake: I love networking, meeting new people and remembering things about them/ and their life. I find there's a tremendous amount of value in tending to the network that supports you. Highrise helps me do just that. How about you? - Elliott
Yup, use Highrise all the time. Pretty satisfied. - Fred from twhirl
@Elliot: I use Highrise to manage the sales activity for my 9-person startup as well as all my networking contacts. The repeating Note->Followup cycle is what makes it really worth it for me. The only thing I'd like is for highrise to "ping" me when I haven't spoken to certain people in a while. How do you handle that? - jakebf
@Jake: If you go to the Contacts view, you can sort the contacts by "People without Notes in the last 30 days". That's what I would suggest... - Elliott
Yeah, I know about the People w/o Notes thing, but the feature is a little half-baked. I have lots of people in Highrise that I just don't care about. Better would be a Google/FriendFeed-style free-form search thing so I could do "tag:important AND last_contact < 3/1/08" ... or something. - jakebf
@Jake, that's a great idea. - Elliott

Again, Firefox 3 is out today. If you're not yet a convert, today's the day to try. Now, here's the link for Mac OSX: http://twurl.nl/5babba

This is amazing news. I only have one thing left on my list of cable lust reasons, Live sports. I can live without that - Chris McLean
Sadly this only works inside the United States - Adewale Oshineye
"Geotarted" service. - Chris Nixon
but really, I can`t wait for the full run of McGuyver to show up. - Schlomo Rabinowitz
Paul Buchheit
might need to look @ this - Kamilah Reed (K. Gill)
Great screencast-- I hadn't used hides before. I have mixed feelings on the UI, especially the number of options for "friend-of-friends." I also think pushing hidden items to the bottom might not be discoverable enough. But whatever - awesome. - jakebf
Very helpful to see how this was intended to be used. Thanks! - RyanEs
Hope Ross spends his whole internship making videos (Dan, too) to explain how to use all FF features. This is especially helpful for mainstreamers like me who pose as early adopters. - Anne Bouey

@champuru: GarageBand is so fun to play with. Just grab random beats and loops, copy, paste, and drag like mad, and boom. Catchy background.
