I was born in South Carolina but only lived there till I was 2. However we would go back every now and then to visit or vacation and I always loved just listening to everyone talk. Sometimes I would pick up some of the accent while there, but that was mostly acting background more than anything else. Tina, true! We used to drive down to Florida from St. Louis twice a year to vacation and visit relatives (most Alabama relatives relocated to Pensacola), and I swear there was a line right at Tennessee where the accents suddenly started.
