The solution is to rent 3 bedroom Single Family Homes.

Jimminy sounds a good idea, that would be about $600 each room, I guess you can get some nice 3 beds there?
- Jason
yeah, I think that's what people figured out, it's much easier and affordable to have roommates if you want to live in the city.

London is the same, Prices are crazy up there, houses turned into multiple occupation. Where would you recommend in SF, Ozgur mentions Palo Alto I would imagine thats very expensive being the the birthplace in California-computing etc
- Jason
Well it kinda depends, do you want to live in the city or does any other city in the bay area work for you? :)

Why is a 3 Bed apartment double that of a 3 Bed house?
- Jimminy
I don't mind, it would be great to see the sea and a view, hopefully asking not too much
- Jason
I'd like a mountain view, do they have any of those around there?
- Jimminy
the thing is I don't know much about rent around the bay and have a vague idea about most areas in sf. I live downtown and my view consists of one awesome tree and a male stripclub :) I'd say if you look around the sunset and richmond districts you're more likely to find something that has a nice view + more affordable (as it's a bit further away to the center of the city).

Thanks guys those sound interesting will check them out, IMO? I've seen some places here that look at walls and there is no light. Funny I had a quick look at walls in images and came across these;-) http://www.archisage.net/photo... or http://hdw.eweb4.com/out...
