I've done the coffee tasting at Transcend and it's quite interesting. I've learned much more about coffee than I ever thought I would! Their coffee is good too. Normally I add sugar and cream to mine, but theirs is the first coffee I think I ever had that I didn't need either.

I have a difficult time believing anything in this report or that the gun registry is in any way effective. It is simply one more step along the road to complete abolition of any citizen gun ownership. If you think the RCMP wouldn't like to see that, you're on another planet. This is their ultimate goal. Next they'll want a knife registry. Then they'll want cameras in your home. Hey, most crimes happen at home, so why not? Why not? Well, I don't want to live in a totalitarian state, which is where Canada will be if we let the RCMP dictate policy & investigate themselves.

The power of language in politics. It's unfortunate that so many people are not inclined to look beyond the buzzwords to find out the truth. We need people to make this effort more than ever instead of letting themselves get sucked into the knee-jerk reactions the writer intended.

In terms of perpetuating the human species, yes, mate acquisition and parenting are important. I think Maslow's hierarchy of needs was kind of going in a different direction. This is ridiculous. And what about those who are not interested in finding a mate and/or having children? How would it explain the empty nest syndrome where parents are completely lost after their children leave? Oh, I guess you could start somewhere in the middle of Maslow's hierarchy and work up from there.

A beautiful example of how an older home can be redeveloped instead of destroying it and replacing it with an inelegant 'lot-maximizing' monstrosity.

It's rather embarrassing that Canadians are being fleeced by the cell phone companies like we are. Three year contracts and BS fees. So much for competition.

It's not a good idea to rely entirely on Facebook as a way of promoting your business. You should have a website. It's also not good to rely too much on Google for your business. A diverse marketing strategy is always the best way. I have clients who advertise on Facebook and it's a bit of a pain. Google is much further ahead in how they handle businesses. Running Adwords for clients is far easier than Facebook.

Reminds me of when I worked at a computer store and this old guy was in panic because he didn't want his wife to find out that he was on upskirts.com lol

I have no doubt about the damage sugar does to our society, but I wonder about the math. If we assume there are approximately 4.2 grams of sugar per teaspoon and, using the data, assume the average adult consumes 22 teaspoons per day or 32 for kids, then that works out to 92.4 grams or 134.4 grams per day of sugar. If we go with the figure of 150 pounds per year, that would be 0.41 lbs per day, or 186 grams per day. It's made to sound like people are eating 150 lbs of sugar per year, which we know can't be the case. It's obviously making an appearance elsewhere. Don't let that stop you from eating less sugar though. :)

Residents along the Gulf coast telling the truth about the oil they're seeing while BP and the federal government lie and deny about what is and is not being done to clean up the oil in the Gulf. Shameful.
