"To have a grievance is to have a purpose in life. A grievance can almost serve as a substitute for hope; and it not infrequently happens that those who hunger for hope give their allegiance to him who offers them a grievance." -Eric Hoffer
Hoffer's timeless aphorism offers an insight into the minds of those who adore him. Looking for hope, or, faith--even salvation--they're satisfied by finding purpose in the grievances he offers. As an Alinskyite organizer, he's been in the business of packaging grievances as hope for years, agitating self-contemptuous and lost people to fight for a cause that in normal circumstances they would fight against. ...for you Obamafolk, it's something to think about, is there hope in government control? Or, are you fighting a straw-man, while Obama's Statist goals are fulfilled under your nose?
