About to speak at Neuroinformatics 2009. http://bit.ly/1rju0U "A semantic web for neuroscience? What could that mean?"
@kendall Expect pellet-user email from Helen @DrP_stuff re: some reasoning woes of OBI. Thanks for the encouragement.
More adventures in building OBI. Accessible tools for developing ontologies and understanding reasoning really needed http://groups.google.com/group...
AT&T: How is it possible that I can't get 3G everywhere in San Francisco. And that edge sucks so bad as backup?
@Alan Ruttenberg <http://friendfeed.com/alanrut...> which part of vacation do you not understand? - Helen Parkinson from email
Paper maps obsoleted by iPhone ... As long as there is a network connection. That said, it's alway a struggle :) - Alan Ruttenberg from email
Influenzo ontology should collaborate with PLOS currents. Keeping ontology up to date enough to annotate articles would be good exercise.
Fighting divergence on the semantic web on several fronts: protege: http://article.gmane.org/gmane... LOD: http://lists.w3.org/Archive... and some others
ICBO online proceedings will appear here - http://precedings.nature.com/collect... Authors need to upload individually, though.

After 2 boardings and 2 hours delay, flight home is cancelled :(
Arriving Buffalo for #icbo09. Six days of all ontology, all of the time.
@jamesmalone patience, grasshopper.
Figuring out where "parameter" fits in the IAO http://code.google.com/p... is making team crazy.
Trying gizmo5 SIP at the suggestion of google voice.

@TweetDeck Any update on Mac growl support?
@fgibson No shortage of languages for the jvm: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki...
@fgibson Among the dynamic languages, something that runs on jvm is best as then you get access to lots of useful SW libraries. So jython..
@markmoby FaCT++ predecessor, FaCT was common lisp too. Source still available - http://www.cs.man.ac.uk/%7Ehorr...
@fgibson Well, any dynamic language - python for instance :)
@fgibson do you not have a shell? Download a language that's best suited to your problem.
@markmoby Racer is implemented in lisp
@fgibson given a wide choice of languages, why c# ??
On the beach in Nahant waiting for the 'works
@markmoby chaos hasn't worked well for biology. I suspect not well for other fields too, but they've had enough $ to do it the hard way.
@markmoby good thing to wonder.
@markmoby For the web of documents, chaos considered a plus - led to rapid, distributed development. Q: Will the same thing work for data?
Setting up the new 3GS. Thanks Lufthansa.
Bumped off flight back to Boston. Lufthansa does it right with cash, business class upgrade, and lounge while waiting.
Sounds somehow unfair...I always get "trouble" on long flights. Worst was probably the stewardess spilling water on laptop and looking at me saying "don't worry it's just water..". Sigh :) - Melanie from Nambu
You attract trouble @mcourtot :) - Frank from iPhone
