At least Martin has stated he will still consider ND once he talks to the new staff. Need new staff in ASAP to keep these guys together.

@Patrick_Donohue I would agree w/ that. But the last four games were their chance to make statement/show heart/save coach. Failed in those.
@OaklandZoo Sweet, that's my story! It lives! Sad that no one still goes, though. Berenato is a hell of a coach.
@justinjarrett I'd go for that if it were the administration making a decision b/c school did lose money going to Hawaii Bowl last year.
@justinjarrett But, IMO, since it's the kids deciding, it has everything to do with having respect for Weis. Not want to finish 09 w/o him.
@Patrick_Donohue Reports are that they already did. But why hate for that?
I won't believe Stoops, or any coach for that matter, until a hire is made. Been down this road too many times.
I liked Weis and really wanted him to succeed but he dug his own grave .. "6-5 is not good enough". Then how about 3-9, 7-6 and 6-6? See ya!

ESPN saying an ND assistant has confirmed the firing of Weis. Step 1, done. Step 2, hire Stoops. Step 3, beg Tate/Clausen to stay.
