I'd go for a 901, but I don't need this kind of netbook. Anyway, mediamarkt e box, you have 901 linux and windows both at 399 and the windows version has 20 giga against linux's 12. - Alcides

mine is a 901 pearly white. 399 @ Worten/Colombo. 370 for September probably. Linux = 4Gb sda + 16Gb sdb (still fiddling :-) ) - but looks like two SSD's. - Carlos Canau

Canau: so the 901 Linux version comes with 20Gb? Even tho, it's weird that the same version, with the same specs and only different OS's (Linux or Windows) come at the same price... Canau: did you use your 701 backup for 901? Or are you "starting from scratch" there? I'm waiting for having both 701 and "good internet connection" to install Debian on the 701, so until now I'm still playing with Xandros. Another question about 901: do you already know (or are you already sure) that 901 comes with Debian? If so, you might want to have debian official repositories, plus the "debian for eee pc" ones... - Marcos Marado via fftogo

É estranho deparar com esta conversa no FF. Independentemente de eu gostar ou não dos posts em causa, este argumento que lanças aqui no Twitter não me parece muito rigoroso: por várias vezes, ele falou bem do movimento Open Source. Além disso, ultimamente ele não "ataca" só a MS: tens o exemplo dos jogos olímpicos e da TSF. De qualquer forma, o nome do blog induz que tipo de conteúdo tem. Estavas à espera de quê? Depois há a outra questão: o que ele diz é mentira e isso chateia-te? Vai lá e dá-lhe uma rabecada num comment. Aquilo que ele diz é verdade e isso chateia-te? Problema teu. Também não percebo o que isso tem a ver com aconselhar o planet: ele é um todo, por isso, no geral ou é aconselhável ou não. Ou as pessoas a quem recomendas não têm olhinhos para verem o que querem ler desse planet do que não querem? - paula simoes

Se eu fosse lá comentar estava a dar valor ao que ele escreve. Algumas coisas até podem ser verdade, mas a forma como ele escreve não merece resposta. E fiz o desabafo, porque sei que há pessoas que seguem as minhas sugestões, até porque subscrevem o SuperDuperPortugueseTechPeoplePlanet (http://wiki.alcidesfonseca.com...) e ficam avisadas da alteração - Alcides

Actually, I posted that before he mentioned ASP and MS SQL, but even with that some times you have some limitations. I had experience a client using MS-SQL with PHC, and he wouldn't want to change. - Alcides
