""You just need to admit to yourself that you believe not in Free Software but in Open Source." I've been saying this all along. Just check the "right from the start" link in the post. Opensource can pay you bill, but it may not. And if everybody supported opensource without programming, it wouldn't evolve. Personally I feel like people who take advantage of OpenSource software and have programming skills, but don't contribute with it, are having a bad karma, but that's just me. Regarding the comment system, http://wiki.alcidesfonseca.com...... I've said I don't like it being a javascript widget. But I have more urgent stuff in my todolist :/" - Alcides

"Chekke, The problem is not reading the footer. Is assuming I am a MS fanboy. Not everyone that thinks that MS does a few things right is a fanboy. Actually the jQuery guys are pretty OSS oriented and they liked the news. (And I'm sure they will not let MS get in their way)" - Alcides

"You anti-MS guys should learn how to behave yourselves. No one takes you seriously you know? Specially when you suggest to try something that I already used to make this website (see the footer). Nevertheless I'm happy about this step Microsoft took!" - Alcides

"This is actually great news for those who believe proprietary and open-source technologies can coexist, which I don't believe is your case. And since I want to try out ASP.NET MVC, it's nice to use the already-used-almost-everywhere jQuery, than some MSish specific js toolkit." - Alcides

Better standby time, too. - Jordan Hofker
Personally I'm waiting for the iPebble... - John Worthington
Smash a rock into pieces and you get more. Smash an iphone, well, there aren't Nanos coming out. - Jordan Hofker

John: I remembered the flintstones' infant daughter Pebbles Flintstone after your comment. She was using a phone like this Stone, wasn't she? : ) - Erhan "peanut" Erdogan
Still: I have iPod Touch. Haha-haa! - Kristian Salonen
Which proves, people want less features, not more! LOL - Victor Ganata
Yeah, I'd rather have a stone than an iPhone. - Alex "Chameleon" Scoble
Stones are also more theft deterrent. - Shawn Farner
Stone is cheaper - Morton Fox

Hey, there is a huge period of time that we now call the Stone Age. I doubt we will ever have an era named the iPhone Age. - Victor Ganata
Victor: Maybe Apple Age? - Erhan "peanut" Erdogan
Still: the Apple Age 1976-2008. The Stone Age 3 million BC-3000 BC. Steve Jobs ain't gonna be around *that* long (barring major innovations in life prolongation that I'm sure he'd be able to afford.) - Victor Ganata
When they came out they were hot ✓ ✓ - Benedikt Koehler
For most situations, I prefer the iPhone. I get really bad reception with my rock.. and it's hard to check my stocks and get directions to the pizza joint with it. But it works great as a makeshift mallet for pounding tent stakes when camping! My iPhone's a little to fragile for that. At least my iPhone can double as a flashlight in a pinch! - Jackson D. Carson
OK. I will downgrade to Stone. - Leon Ho
This is classic!! and I'm an iPhone fan!! - Bronwyn
:)) haha - Farzad
Worse is better http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/W... ".. limited but exceptionally simple to use may be "better" than that is more comprehensive but harder to use ..." stone is better ;) - vepa

"I guess the Touch series (Touch, Touch dual, Touch Diamond, etc) are already aimed at the consumer market. The TyTN and pro series are the ones for the enterprise, although that's not very clear. About the G1/Dream, it's the ugliest phone HTC came up with in the last 3 years. I know the Android is not the hardware, but they could have invested more in their brand and design. I mean, everyone wants an iPhone and it's not because of the multi-touch, or accelerometer. It's because it's a chick magnet!" - Alcides

"You download "a bit of python magic", then extract the zip. Export your library from Goodreads, and save the file in the same folder as the contents extracted from the zip. Then run the Python script (Mac OS or Linux already have python, otherwise install Python (http://www.python.org/download...)) and it will generate a myshelf.txt that you import in shelfari. Hope it helped." - Alcides

- Alcides

"I've tested this new layout in my Mac's Safari and in Windows's Chrome, and it looks better in Chrome. It's too hard to read the links in the sidebar, you should make them a bit darker. Overall, I don't like this new one. It makes the website too grey, and makes me browse something else. Couldn't you make a template that's up to the content? PS: I received all your last RSS items again today." - Alcides
