PIctures and Video from my brief Costa Rica trip near Manual Antonio park and Carrera park. Be sure to check out the videos of monkey jumps (white-faced capuchins jumping over a mangrove swamp), and the crazy guy feeding a crocodile. Also see the photos/videos of the rare scarlet Macaw. Taking nighttime pics with a snapshot camera and no flash allowed was an interesting challenge -- for the Caiman photos, auto exposure was about 4 or 5 seconds so I set the camera on a ledge and waved my flashlight around.

Alec - great pics. I will try to post a few I took later. Too bad I missed getting a shot of the white-faced c' monkey who was touching my hat in the mangroves.

Here are some pictures from the Tour of California that I took on Monday on
Tunitas Creek road. It was a rainy ride up Kings Mountain road and partway down Tunitas to the viewing spot, but we didn't get cold until we stopped. Then we got REALLY cold. Fortunately, a coworker brought a van and tent - http://picasaweb.google.com/alec...
Karen, Dan and I are in the middle of this today. Fun! We had to divert to Boston and drive to Albany -- tons of trees on the ground. The ice on the trees looked cool, though... - http://www.reuters.com/article...
