Can you please explain to me how people should go from being strangers to being a couple or lovers? And how specifically does a person "consent" to being touched for the first time? Does the person say "Ok, I have deemed you attractive and a possible mate, so you may proceed to the stage where you may touch me for the first time"? I'm not being sarcastic. I am asking a genuine question. I'm pretty certain most relationships are formed with one of the persons being one to perform a touch first. All the flirting guides I have read, as well as all the scientific guides describe the human mating process, one where one of the two individuals performs a test by performing a touch, or hinting at something sexual, and seeing how the other person performs. In fact, that's part of "assessing consent"...." - Alek
