Alexander Trafford

A curious nineteen year old Londoner; temporarily not a student. Deeply interested in philosophy, literature, economics, and technology.
I'm at Cherwell Boathouse https://foursquare.com/alextra...
Are 'huge congratulations' really in order yet? Under-praise and over-deliver strikes me as a better strategy.
Hm. Google+ downside is that 90% of the posts in my stream are congratulations for launching Google Local.
https://plus.google.com/up... is interesting, if not perfect. A hard thing for anybody to get right. @foursquare is probably the best currently.
A post on a Doctor Who Google group thread by Stephen Moffat - from 1995 https://groups.google.com/group... Brilliant.

RT @robhof: Facebook's valuation is now down $25 billion from its IPO price--almost as much as underwriter Morgan Stanley is worth http://www.forbes.com/sites...
RT @charltonbrooker: Facebook's future depends on 'frictionless sharing'. If its shares had more friction maybe they wouldn't be sliding so easily.
$FB closed at 28.84 today, approaching $10 below where they started.
Looking at Bentleys and Astons that are six years old and insanely cheap. I can't wait until someone will insure me on one.
Blodget still finds himself dancing on egg shells a little, I feel, which is a shame.
Here it is: http://www.businessinsider.com/why-do-... It's getting the all too predictable reaction from idiots everywhere, too.
Henry Blodget seems to have made a good point fairly weakly regarding the Religious Studies exam question I tweeted about on the weekend.
Ok, enough of that now. But deriding someone for knowing some Latin is just contemptible.
RT @Nero: RT @SiobhanBenita: OMG #Gove has just quoted Latin at Leveson. <- This woman is unfit to be elected to anything. Shockingly ignorant.
RT @JimRManning: Benita's attack is the kind of thing you used to hear from the school playground bully, mocking the kids that try hard and do well.
RT @VictoriaKLM: @SiobhanBenita What is wrong with you? So you're annoyed an educated, well-read individual is making EDUCATION policy? How ridiculous.
RT @NicolasClark: @SiobhanBenita If you think Michael Gove's linguistic ability is a bad thing then you are the one who is out of touch! #Education
Where does @SiobhanBenita even begin to explain that? Totally ridiculous.
RT @SiobhanBenita: OMG #Gove has just quoted Latin at Leveson. I find it depressing that he is in charge of our education system. Way too out of touch.

Six spammers in response to that last tweet. Are people thinking about 2007 more likely to want to win free iPads?
February 2007 was a great month. Absolutely crying with laughter at some old videos I've found.
I'm looking at the one that was ostensibly mine. It is honestly and genuinely so interesting.
MySpace essentially failed because whats there is only interesting five years later.
Then I could be one of those people with two phones.
Facebook might be the only company at the moment that could persuade me to try a phone other than my iPhone http://slatest.slate.com/posts...
Superb. RT @ChrisSomeone: I'm not confrontational. Just intolerant of people who don't realise I'm right.
