Credit Cards merely try to tie itself into the insecure and material hyperbolic society that needs to measure itself( and creditworthiness) by a piece of plastic or the amount of meaningless items it can bring. FAIL@ Visa. With the bolides of debt, foreclosures, and unemployment crashing down upon us, one would consider the naive insult this brings.

@Chris @ Daniel, I too ran the twitter2ff app two days ago and found that every time I do a massive Twitter-Following-Spree I get both a boatload of reciprocals but also a secondary wave -- from folks who I hadn't followed. Same hasn't been true for me on FF. I'm not sure there's any significance to that, but I've also just felt that people are quicker to follow on Twitter.

Well, for one thing, we have near 2,233 people auto-following on SocialToo.com. Amongst those, there are near 2 million followers. So, near 2,233 people are automatically following you when you follow them. I'm sure that's only one factor though. Also, you have to follow them first to get them to follow you back.

OK, so here's what I'm on today: All my "good" music is at least a year old, and I am in dire need of new music that's not just OK, but truly great. So please please please suggest some music, because I'm not finding it.
I'm about to do a show of all Gentle Readers music. They have 3 albums, of which the first is good but not great. The 2nd two I think are great. Beyond that, if you aren't familiar with Wim Mertens of Soft Verdict, his album Maximizing the Audience is truly amazing. Not new, but maybe to you.

@Kol Not sure about RTM's benefits but on Evernote you get to upload 500mb/month (as opposed to 40mb) as well as https access. On Flickr it means unlimited uploads vs 100mb/month limit, unlimited number of sets (albums) and archiving of your originals in high-resolution.

There may indeed be benefits to sublimating one's sexual drive so that it is expressed as love for all. However, that is a special discipline that not all are called to. Those who are, deserve our support. Those who are not, deserve our support, as well. The only real problem I see with intercourse is when it is used as a weapon, to degrade or exploit or hurt.

It is one of my theories that the more you sacrifice to a theory or an idea, the more attached you grow to that idea and the less likely you are to challenge it or listen to challenges - because it would make you a fool to have sacrificed that much. Religions have implicitely understood it and have always asked people to sacrifice things like certain food, sexual intimacy etc. You might say they gain mana from it ;)
