On a popular file-sharing site, I saw this movie at 1.4 Gig size total. Wondering if the raw files are 1 PB or so? This is something havent seen before for any movie, even with lot of similar effects or full-motion animation films...

That would be the final rendered files (assuming those were rippied from DVD or Bluray). the originals will be far bigger since they are higher res and contain the original 3D stuff (wireframes, animation, keyframes, textures, etc)
