So Best Buy lowered the price on my TV one day after the 30 day period. Going in to ask if they'll discount my TV anyhow...the worst thing that happens is they say "no".

I do not think it will replace email. Wave is heavy compared to email. It seems like it will be useful for collaborating but it isn't a social experience. Email/IM are lighter and more suited to having a conversation. Wave might be great for getting work done though - Benjamin Golub

I've been playing with the developer sandbox for a while, and honestly, I still don't see the point of Wave. It's fine as a collaboration tool, but I would hesitate to say it'll "replace" anything at all. It's slow as heck, for one thing, almost to the point of unusability. Disorganized, hard to understand and use, etc. The API is niftier, so I can see some types of new things being... more... - Otto

I'd like the ability to setup something like this, yes (an alternate home screen with additional content and info, yes, please.) I think the current home screen is a good default, but users should have access to something similar to this. Definitely worth the upgrade. When they said the S was for speed they were not kidding. It is much, much, much faster in every way possible than the 3G. John Gruber likened the processor upgrade to going from a 486 to a Pentium back in the day. Throw in doubled up RAM and other improvements and the thing is just blazing. - Patrick Jordan

I second Metalerik on the AR app testing. That's probably 1 of 3 reasons why I upgrade. I'll wait until I get a discount or God blesses me with one early on. No raves on my end either, but I haven't heard anything bad in the least. I think I have to qualify my earlier answer. I don't have many friends on Friendfeed, but I do use it as a news aggregator. With groups and rooms, I used it like Techmeme. Facebook, where i have a more healthy friend list is less interesting. Coming from the other side, I’d like to see the Facebookization of Friendfeed (without sucking that is). FF is a great place for content and discussion, but not so much for community and social networking. - Hao Chen

Facebook's largely self-contained, immersive "social" and "fun" walled garden works especially well for interpersonal relations, and the upcoming facelift improves on those same principles. I'm impressed. That said, it's too heavyweight for active group conversations. FF has far and away the most effective implementation of group discussions, especially around "the rest of the web". Just because us early-adopter-inside-the-techie-bubble are over here playing on FriendFeed, don't assume that everyone else is. 110 million are on Facebook, maybe more by now.
