"So the other day I went to a UK theme park, and there's a ride that goes from 0-80 in 2.3 seconds then rockets up 200ft into the air before plummeting back down again. But this was scarier."

"Am I the only person on this planet that fines the PS2/3 controllers horribly uncomfortable? Don't get me wrong, they could be a million times worse, but the positioning and shape of the analogue sticks just results in my thumbs slipping off them all the time. The Xbox 360 and N64 pretty much provided controller perfection if you ask me."

"I'm not really sure what she was like as a person- I never found her to be too personable from what I saw, but that doesn't detract from the sympathy I have for any cancer sufferer, which is an experience I could never wish upon anyone. I'm not sure whether her case really brought about a tidal wave of awareness towards a disease which is already quite prominant in everyone's minds, but if anything it provided a shot of realism in that cancer can affect those of any age or fame and should at least make everyone more wary of its brutality."

"Right, so despite Palm having a fabulous new device, Blackberry still churning out some decent devices, Android going big-time this year and a new version of WinMo in the pipelines, people will still blindly swarm to the iPhone? To be honest, I think 25% is a more realistic figure- maybe 30, but certainly not 40%. These market analysts tend to get this sort of thing wrong all the time- I swear we're all meant to be using Linux now. Cause it's free, you know?"

"Nice little list there. I wrote a similar article a while back, and although a few of the services don't exist anymore or aren't exactly hidden, it might be worth a read! http://www.bit-tech.net/bits... ..."

"Mainstream formats work for a reason- they're already mainstream. This campaign won't really do anything to solve the 'problem'- fact is, most people use MP3s, most people can't tell the difference between 128kbps and 320kbps and pretty much every piece of software supports it. On the other hand, OGG isn't really supported by enough hardware or software to warrant the average consumer switching to it- you've got to get the people who make these products to support a format, not the people who use them! I'm not saying the technical aspects or the idea behind OGG are bad (far from it) but it's really never going to catch on. OGG, FLAC and most lossless formats are the geeks'/audiophiles' territory, not the consumers'."
