These article is an excellent example of how a wide range of products from several design teams within one company are not designed to work together. I look forward to the day when I can have one unified contact list on Google and be able to sync it with my Blackberry.

Title caught my eye. Dad used to use that quote all the time. It is strange how the same company have so many things floating on their own.

Inexpensive, innovative, integrated -- not as easy as you'd think ;). Suffice it to say that the Google teams I've chatted with (as a Googler) also care about innovation, but I believe that if every team always waits until another team has [x] finished OR there's enormous top-down pressure to wait-until-integration, then innovation is stifled. With that said, yeah, I am excited about the potential of greater integration across Googlethings, too :)

Google could definitely use some more integration.

I conducted much the same experiment via twitter and your post does bring up the nice point of threading conversations which I like. I just tend to bounce over to Friend Feed to continue them as opposed to Plurk. Thanks!
