I don't know how I feel about the push of this article. I like all the designs well enough, but they're also all very heavy and slow-loading because of the graphical weight. I don't the we realistically have enough bandwidth for this philosophy to be wide-spread. In certain cases, for specific sorts of web sites, going heavy and pretty could be an option. For most websites, I think that small, light, and fast would serve everyone a lot better.

Good to know. I likely wouldn't have reacted the way this guy did in this particular situation, but I do hit cars (generally not to the point of damaging them, but I have) that cut me off in cross-walks and I don't feel bad about it at all. I'd happily defend myself in court. People need to be made aware that they are threatening lives when they drive through cross-walks against the light.
