Bjoern - well done my friend. I am struggling my ass off - I'm trying to do what you have managed. My personal 30DC has turned into at least 60, if not more. I really want - no, need - this, but I am wondering if I am just wasting my time. If anyone has any proper good advice then please, PLEASE let me know. Struggling and pretty bloody desperate. Thanks. San (sorry if this post comes up multiple times - there were a few edits). - san
Hey me too Bjoern. I'm nowhere, but still plugging away. Hang in there. It has to work. If everyone else can do it, we can.!!! - lorna99
Only one dollar, should have been at least double that by now. Just kidding, congrats. - Greg Martin
Big congrats to you Bjoern! - Marysia
San, it's taken me a long time too - in fact a lot longer, because I signed up to the August 1st 30dc challenge. It's just one of those things - no point in struggling or feeling desperate about it. I've learnt to just enjoy the journey and the adventure. Remember that Edison did not regard his 100+ experiences of trying to invent the light bulb as "failures" but as successful learning experiences of how not to make a light bulb. Everything you do or try out is a learning experience :-). - Marysia

thinking caps on, and with the sheer power of numbers, really focus our attention on one particular blog. Each week a new blog could be chosen and if you had say a spare 5 minutes, you could pop along, take a look, offer any constructive criticism, suggestions or how to fixes you may have, or if you have none think it must be rather a good blog and surely worthy of a twitter, digg or stumble? Deciding which blog to choose is the difficult part to quote George Orwell “Power Corrupts and Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely” and no way do I want that power but I suppose for the first one I should get the ball rolling and I suggest the blog LJF Wolffe,Weirdo at Large http://www.ljfwolffe.com (this is friendfeed after all). Well I must go as I promised my daughter I would take her to see High School Musical 3 as Stephen Fry would say catcherlayder x - Groobers
Wow. Just wow. Me? Little old me? I'm honored. And a tad embarrassed. This is not a 30DC blog (for me, that's populardelusions.net), but one I started just to grab my name and have a place to vent. I'd love any help anyone wants to give me, though! I'm not turning down a wonderful offer like that! Thanks, Groobers! I admit freely that I have a LOT to learn. - LJF Wolffe
Duh, trust me to point people to the wrong blog, sorry about that and please don't think I am implying that you have a lot to learn because in my humble opinion you don't, the reason I suggested your blog is that each time I log on to friendfeed I find you helping out yet another person, and I think that deserves recognition http://www.populardelusions.ne... - Groobers
Oh, hey, I took it as nothing but complimentary. I spent an hour blushing! And either blog is fine; PD hasn't done much, and though LJFW was never meant to, it gets more visits than my other blogs -- so I must be doing _something_ right . . . 8-) - LJF Wolffe
Just went through PD really fast. Here are my thoughts. I saw no clear sell offer in the main page. Are you sure this is what you want? Maybe choose one of your offers and put it up in the main page as a 'featured' one. I didn't read the post individually, but very few of them, if any, attracted me while I was ... - Jorge Blanco
scanning them. There should be a way you can make your offers and main selling points stand out and grab the readers. Personally I might be just lazy to read all of the post and give you pointers on writing style, but I felt the visual style a bit monotone. Try to spice it up a little sometimes. 2cents over n out :) - Jorge Blanco
Thanks, Jorge! I have ambitious site plans, and have been pointing to the entries -- the home page needs work (and maybe the Popularity Contest plugin). A Featured Offer is a great idea! And I do know I need more pictures -- unrelieved text is, well, unbecoming. Did I miss anything? I'm taking notes! - LJF Wolffe
Looking at PD home page (and feeling quite delusional....), just kidding! I'd like to see the menu items a bit brighter when hovering over them, the text a bit "punchier" and as you've already identified, some images or even stick figures. I do like way the blog looks - the bigger the image on that page the better it seems to drag me in to read the text. Cheers, Kim - Kim Baillie
Thanks, Kim! I appreciate the input -- and the list of Stuff2Do tomorrow is growing! Could you do me the favor of trying to define "punchier?" I'd appreciate it . . . - LJF Wolffe
So, for example, the Movies blurb could be "They didn't think I could review every movie I've ever seen, but I did. Read on here to see how I did it"; or for Madness of Crowds you could have "Who else wants to be released from the madness of crowds?" I'm thinking you need to engage the reader with a challenge or a like mindedness so that they will read on and eventually need that coffee cup because they are addicted to your site!. ;-) - Kim Baillie
Thanks! I get it now. 8-) - LJF Wolffe
Hi LJF, will give my first impressions as a new visitor 1) Cool looking professional blog even if text a bit pale on right 2) My first instinct was to click on the highest link to see what on earth you were talking about lol ! (hadnt heard about it) but then i wouldve missed all your hard work blog content. Did you think about placing the link lower down? Just wondered (educational to know your reasons etc!) - s thomas
Morning LJF, Just had a thought on how to choose the next blog, and was wondering what you think? Maybe we could do a “pay it forward” kind of thing, that is you pick the next persons blog to look at when your week is up, not “pay it back” where people just suggest the person who suggested them. Toodles x (sorry about that HSM3 overload!) - Groobers
Good idea Groobers! - Mark Strickland
Cheers Mark, glad you like it, now I'm going to knuckle down and get some work done! - Groobers
I'll help any way I can Groobers, just let me know. - Mark Strickland
@s thomas -- do you mean the first link in the latest post, or on the home page? Just checking to see where you were. Thanks for the input! @Groobers -- that does seem to be the way these things work -- I'll go find the next blog! 8-) - LJF Wolffe
the one where you post about the movie on the blog - nice background/theme by the way! Dont u just love the 30DC lol ? Wish there was a junior version of The Edge! - s thomas
Thanks Mark and LJF I was just thinking about PD and the vast list of movies you have (very impressive by the way) why don't you take a photo of your actual movie, make it into a thumbnail and put it next to the title on your list, much better in my opinion than a stock photo, a battered old movie box shows you actually have the movie and love it...By the way "What're you Really Into Man?" loved that made me chuckle........Later Gator! - Groobers
Once upon a time I tried to make every movie an Amazon link -- you would not believe the slowdown on loading the page! I'm worried that 600 thumbnails might do the same thing . . . but I have considered taking a picture of the entire Wall, just to prove I'm serious . . . 8-) - LJF Wolffe
Duh again, never thought of the slowdown thing but a picture of the entire wall, now that's an idea... - Groobers

"Market Samurai returning No Data, or Excessive Zeroes Solution RE: ZERO's APPEARING IN ANALYSIS RESULTS, AND NO DATA APPEARING IN KEYWORD GENERATION PHASE"However, in the mean-time if you are analyzing keywords, use the Adwords Traffic Data tools as your point of analysis. The "Adwords Traffic Filter" will remove keywords that do not have any traffic in the Keyword Generation phase. Using the "Adwords" analysis options, rather than the "Organic" analysis options will give you a benchmark traffic level. Multiply the Adwords traffic data by 10 to give you an indication of the search traffic in a market. - Linda via Bookmarklet

I put together a little cheat sheet for all the actionable items for pre-season. I made the assumption that everyone who uses this file is familiar with the training and it is not intended to explain any theory - just a list of actionable items. I hope this helps people get caught up if they fell behind. I built this using the transcripts - so give all the credit and praise to whoever made the transcripts, not me - I just gathered it all up in one place. - Jesse Seymour via Bookmarklet
