"Thats not surprising- general rule of thunb is that things sold as "collectible" or "limited edition" aren't actually collectible or worth anything."

"But that's EXACTLY what non-photographers say about the 5Dmk3/D800 compared to the Rebel/D3100. Exactly the same thing. WE don't know the difference, but I'm sure to cinematographers, it's night and day."

"No- Dan's actually right. Since Japan bombed the US in peace time and earned our retaliation via two nukes (which I maintain they deserved for attacking us in peace time but that's neither here nor there) and consequently lost the ability to maintain a proper military, the US basically changed all of Japanese culture by economically pressuring them to make electronics and other devices (like cameras). This eventually resulted in a huge socioeconomic paradigm shift within the Japanese people until they became how they are today. Gone are the days where the Japanese as a whole were honor bound. Now they have iPhone cases with ears, sole-less shoes for nature lovers, and the infamous baby mop."

"A 40mm lens is a 40mm lens. It doesn't matter if it's on a DX camera, a FX camera, 645 camera, 4x5 camera, etc. What changes, however, is the angle of view. The angle of view seen by a DX sensor with a 40mm lens is the same angle of view seen by a FX sensor with a 60mm lens is the same angle of view seen by a 6x6 medium format camera with a ~70mm lens, etc."

"Thanks Vergil; I actually had one with better trails (8min exposure instead of 30s), but I'd forgotten to turn the long exposure noise reduction setting back on (the one that does the dark frame to find hotspots) which wouldn't have been a problem if I'd have noticed the hot spots in camera, but that's just the way these things go sometimes I suppose. Thanks for viewing!"
