This is because, in my experience, men want to pretend/imagine that there WERE no other men before them! The best answer is to tell them there were no previous relationships, or if there were, they were meaningless.

"The lesson of the research is that even little kids react to ambiguity in a systematic and specific fashion. Their mode of playing is really a form of learning, a way of figuring out how the world works."

"I almost don't want to write a review of this place, for fear that too many people will learn about Raffetto's -- easily Manhattan's best-kept secret -- and deluge its tiny space with heaps of hungry…"

"I'm sad that I have to downgrade Campus Laundry to a 3-star rating, but ... dude -- you lost my jeans. Yes, that's right. In December, just after the Christmas holiday season, I sent out my laundry…"

So happy to see this highlighted -- great example of how to use technology. I hope we aim for the learning to be about skills and concepts, not a specific tech program. Especially as Web 2.0 and cloud applications take over, I love the idea that students have choice.

The question is not just about if boys are missing otu on critical skills by playing games that girls are missing out on by not playing as much -- it depends on the games. And let's face it -- most games boys have been playing have not been all that educational. I'm not talking about "academic" educational, either. It's only been in recent years that problem-solving and creative thinking have entered games.

I'd really REALLY like Seth to quit pontificating on topics like these as if he knows what he's talking about. He is not an educator. What he says is not new. Please can we stop worshiping his marketing words?
