A comparison of freeway ramp rendering on various online mapping sites shows that it's a tricky problem, and at least at the time of this post (2006), Google had the best rendering. I looked at Live and Yahoo again today and it still doesn't match what Google had in 2006. - Amit Patel from Bookmarklet
His own company's map demo (http://maps.cartifact.com/) is pretty slick, with the labelled building outlines. No way to link to a particular view, but zooming in on that 10-110 intersection is nice. - ⓞnor
It's always kind of surprised me to not see much commentary on the quality of map rendering in these apps. It was the first thing that struck me about Google Maps when they released (especially compared to MapQuest, which at the time looked like it had been rendered on my old C64). - Joel Webber
He fails to mention this, but Google's is the only one on that list that shows the ramp directionality. I would think that might be good information to have :) - Joel Webber
