Finally took a look at Amplifeeder. Would be nice to have thumbnail images of all the themes on the design settings page. That will make it easier to pick a theme.
Fwd: We are still developing on the API, amplifeeder is officially launched and in the news (http://thenextweb.com/2009...), the good thing about Amplifeeder is that it is just a skinning engine for what ever feeds and data you have. Friendfeed was a good choice at the time for all the profile...
Amplifeeder on Friendfeed supports custom domains (see http://paul.kinlan.me - is the same account as http://ff.amplifeeder.com/user...) I am just curious for the demand for having custom domain generally available? Would you want it to look like your stream is hosted under your own domain?
For sure! The attraction to me of Amplifeeder (AF?) is to collate and present my entire online presence with as little effort as possible (for me and my readers/followers). If AF is to be effective for me it needs to show up in a search for my name or niche before my blog, Twitter, facebook, friendfeed and the rest in between. A friendly URL is the first (and IMHO essential) step towards this. To move a step ahead, how about an integrated ping service = even less SEO work for me :)

If you want me to show you how to set the custom domain up give me a shout. ;)

Erm, this version of Amplifeeder is built upon Friendfeed so I suppose the question could be how do you see FriendFeed fitting with Google Wave?.... I am not sure yet, it will be interesting to see some of the things coming out of Wave - ( ps, if anyone can get me a Wave account I would be super interested )

What is the value proposition to me of AmpliFeeder? What does it offer me over FriendFeed as a return for the investment of my time? Unless you can answer that question compellingly it may be difficult to gain traction.
The need for a personal space on the web is not going away. Blogs and personal websites take time and effort to keep up to date. AmpliFeeder 'auto-generates' a personal space by aggregating your online activity in one place. there is zero investment in time. FriendFeed is awesome, but its not something you are going to point your vanity domain at. AmpliFeeder makes your aggregated feeds look good. http://www.readwriteweb.com/archive...

Defiantly, Jon has hit it on the head. We are providing you a way to point a domain at your Friendfeed stream and a set of themes that allow you to personalise the way your content appears to everyone else. An example I always use is that http://paul.kinlan.me points to my http://ff.amplifeeder.com/user... account (which is reflecting my Friendfeed configuration) - the only effort required is to point my DOMAINs cname at Amplifeeder.

There are some beta invites to test a new hosted version of Amplifeeder - it helps if you have a friendfeed account too. Post a comment here if you would like an invite.
