Re: Generation X Blog: The Sinclair Dinosaur - http://www.jenx67.com/2012...
"I have seen a Stuckey's but not a Sinclair.  I remember McDonald's, Denny's and Motel 6 always as road trip stops (although often times we slept in the car with my parents taking shifts driving through the night)." - Andi Fisher

Re: Generation X Blog: The Holes That Can't Be Filled - http://www.jenx67.com/2012...
"How funny, I am a WAY generous tipper too! This topic has been on my mind this week because I saw Craig Newmark of Craig's List speak at a conference that I was at.  I saw him speak two years ago and he is such an inspiration.  A humble man who is obsessed with helping those in need because he has more than enough.  I see him and think, I should do more, so I am going to explore ways I can." - Andi Fisher
Re: Generation X Blog: The Holes That Can't Be Filled - http://www.jenx67.com/2012...
"Beautifully written.  I won't say I grew up in poverty, but money was tight in my younger years until my father advanced in his military career.  I remember longing for those Jordache and Keds and never getting it.  I also remember those lists and learning about prioritization, "which item do you want to get out of lay-way first..."  Once I started my adult life and began working, I too very quickly exceeded my parents income and I learned to never take it for granted.  I have a much more luxurious lifestyle than my parents do, but it allows me to donate to charities and give money and gifts to those in need in my life, and I am happy to have the little extra to do that, but I will never, ever forget my roots and the struggle my parents and grandparents have, never...." - Andi Fisher

Re: Lola’s Cookies A Drop Of America In Paris - http://www.5sizes2small.com/wristfl...

Re: Generation X Blog: Only 1 in 5 Younger Gen Xers Get the Flu Shot - http://www.jenx67.com/2012...
"I used to do a flu shot every year but then my husband talked me out of it (there had been an episode of a bad batch in France so he was not very trusting..)  but then this year when he went to do an annual physical his doctor talked him into it.  So now he has had one and I haven't and I am wondering again if I should! Ack!" - Andi Fisher
Re: Generation X Blog: Graffiti Wednesday - http://www.jenx67.com/2012...
"I think that would make a fascinating book.  I took photos of a couple of buildings with street art on them, and I look for it all the time in San Francisco, I am enamored by the actual art and graffiti but I also am curious about its meanings and history as well." - Andi Fisher
Re: Franco File Friday: Sion Dayson - http://www.lostincheeseland.com/2012...
"I like the realness of Sion, that it is not all perfect and rosy, which is the real reality of Paris!  And I love her Friday Faux pas series!" - Andi Fisher
Re: Generation X Blog: The things we pass down from one generation to another - http://www.jenx67.com/2012...
"Not only sayings but gestures I notice as well.  Things my mom does that I sometimes catch myself doing as well or that I remember my grandmother doing, those catch me by surprise as well." - Andi Fisher

"Love it!" - Andi Fisher
Re: Generation X Blog: U.S. Rep Lankford on SOPA, PIPA - http://www.jenx67.com/2012...
"Nice to hear back so quickly, impressive.  The only thing that bugs me which has nothing to do with this issue specifically is his closing.  I am a big believer of separation of church and state, so the :In God We Trust" rubs me the wrong way." - Andi Fisher
Re: Generation X Blog: The Happy Tree - http://www.jenx67.com/2012...
"I bring my camera everywhere too, and now that I have a new one, sometimes I am carry two, plus my iPhone camera as well.  I love people watching and taking photos of things people may miss as well as lots and lots of food!" - Andi Fisher

Re: Lost in Shanghai and Beijing - http://www.lostincheeseland.com/2012...
"I have to agree with the being with a local part.  The only enjoyment I had was my 2-half days I spent with a local guide and even though I was freezing, I had a good time." - Andi Fisher
Re: Hugo, Scorsese’s Love Letter to Film - http://www.5sizes2small.com/wristfl...
"I saw the film here in the US on Thanksgiving, but did not see the 3D version.  I loved the film, but had one complaint which you would probably not notice unless you saw the film in English: this is a film set in France, Paris specifically, but EVERYONE spoke with a British accent - drove me insane!  P.S. I sent you a 2 emails - you won the Lola's Cookies giveaway on my blog, check your spam, maybe it went there?" - Andi Fisher

Re: Generation X Blog: Street Art: Stations of the Cross Mural - http://www.jenx67.com/2012...
"I think all street art unless it is about violence onto others is fabulous.  I love stumbling upon it during my journeys.  Many business owners haven't always provided their consent for appropriate reasons, but I too think it is great that a business owner would allow part of his space to be given over to art." - Andi Fisher
Re: Franco File Friday: Meg Zimbeck - http://www.lostincheeseland.com/2012...
"I was so jealous when you interviewed David L, but getting Meg - wow!  I have such a crush on Paris by Mouth - I am thrill to learn more about Meg!" - Andi Fisher
Re: Lost in Shanghai and Beijing - http://www.lostincheeseland.com/2012...
"I have to agree with your assessment.  I have been to Shanghai four times and enjoy it far more than my one trip to Beijing.  I went to Beijing in December and found it cold and gloomy.  The pollution is incredibly bad.  My husband is going in Feb, his first trip there and I shamefully told him that he would be better off staying in his hotel the half-day off he will have as it is cold and miserable.  I have never said that about any place in the world, but it is what I feel.  I would consider giving it another change, maybe during a spring month, but there are so many other places in the world - or just in Asia - that I would rather go to, it is likely going to be awhile before I get back there!" - Andi Fisher

"You don't have to move any where to profit from the world around you.  And you take it fully by the tail!" - Andi Fisher
"I am so sorry for your loss, even at 92 you can't be prepared.  My last living grandparent, my Grandmother is 95 and I will still be surprised when she leaves us.  My mom went through a cancer scare while I was living abroad so I can totally relate to the not being there part." - Andi Fisher
