"You have given me food for thought. I read over 400 blogs a week (blogs, not posts, I have no clue on posts!) and have recently realized that I am not doing a good job of sharing and promoting the posts so I have started re-tweeting them conscientiously but by using Hootsuite so that they are spaced out and I am not spamming people. I think because I am actually reading all these posts and usually adding my own comment when I retweet that this will be perceived by my community as a good thing, but it is definitely an experiment. I am all about trying out experiments, reviewing and measuring them for impact and pissed-offedness (making up words here!) before continuing my efforts. I am interested to see how it goes from my side and what people's reactions are. Thanks for your thoughts on this, it added color to what I have been musing over!"

"I have worked in San Francisco for nearly 4 years and I feel like I know Paris better! I have so much to explore. I agree with Lindsey too, go with your gut, it usually leads you in the right direction."

"Bravo Lindsey! What a coup. Everyone has their unique perspective but there are certainly common themes among all francophiles isn't there?"

"Hmmm. well he is hunky, but I do not like the whole just remove the bacon thing, not cool. I am not a big french fry fan (except for moules-frite or with tartare) but I do like sweet potato fries. Funny I have the same (I mean exact same) fights with Mr. Misadventures about (a) food (b) waiting for food and (c) exploring new food places!"

"I live in Berkeley, but the town next to me, Emeryville has a ton of public art and I always love finding new pieces that are literally all over the city. I love the fact that they must feel that art if a priority to support in their city."

"Glorious photos, love the squirrel! I don't know how you get the butterfly photos, they always fly away when I try to do it. The robin is incredibly special story, I am amazed that she will almost eat out of your hand when she has her babies close by, so cool!"

"It was still early days when I was living in France, but my list would be sushi (because where I lived had only one spot) dimsum (think that would still apply today for France); pumpkin pie (at the time), Mexican for sure!"

"I learned something new today. You know I am an Army brat so I have definitely been in my fair share of these huts, but in all my 42 years I never knew they were called "Quonset Huts!" I agree with your retirement plan, I will plant mine right next to yours!"

"I have never, ever seen these and it looks adorable. I looked at the "regular" peeps in the store and almost bought some for nostalic sake, but then I think about that is just a whole bunch of chemicals and nothing natural and I just can't do it!"

"I worked in Switzerland in an international office, but it was Swiss-French so there is a little bit of French influence there and there were a lot of French people working in my office as well being right on the French/Swiss border. And I think you are spot on for everything! I still tell my American co-workers here who get shocked from things said to them from time-to-time that they wouldn't last five minutes working in Europe. I absolutely loved that about the culture, that nothing was taboo and you could speak about nearly everything (I didn't have any bad experiences). I don't spoke but I sure did drink a lot of Nespresso - I had to go on a detox when I returned to the states!"

"Goodness you have a great memory! I remember so little from my childhood, it bums me out! I remember sentiment, so I am sure I had my moments of deep disappointment as does every child. So brave of you to try to make it better for your kids, to shield them from this...even though it is totally impossible! That is part of life - but bravo for trying!"

"Don't have anything as fascinating as egg pickled in beet juice - that sounds amazing! Not having kids, I really don't do anything anymore. Growing up we did the ham dinner and Easter basket route, but that was it."

"Strictly in a research capacity I have been playing around with these tools as well. I do wonder what HR departments will think about these. In my current field of social media I think that hiring managers might appreciate them but they have to get by a whole bunch of other people first!"

"Hanging out with as many French people as I do, I have always heard the lost generation referred to those artists, musicians and writers who fled to Paris. I know it is a narrow view but it was the one I always liked best :-)"
- Andi Fisher
"I agree with everyone who also still fantasizes about being a travel writer - me too! I also agree with Nicola that Lyon is underrated. I was lucky enough to go there several times and not only is beautiful but a total foodie town!"
- Andi Fisher
"Not that this post isn't very good, but I am so glad I read to the very end so that I could get that fabulous infographic on bad bosses - it made my day!"

"Since I don't watch TV and had a crazy week of meetings and business dinners last week, I did not hear about this story until yesterday when the French news were reporting on the demonstrations. I checked out some stories online so I am caught up, but I feel so sorry for all parties involved in this very sad case."
