"Very old copies of the Bible are near identical to our copies today (so we know the Bible hasn't been damaged over time). The Bible seems to be in agreement with historians of the day, and of modern archeological findings. There are so many accounts that do not contradict each other, it's rather improbable that the authors were making stuff up. As for the contradictions that do exist, most of them are very, very minor. The "major" ones that I've heard are usually used without context."

"There are many things. Chalk most of them down to personal experiences and the logic I'm sure you've already heard from other Christians."

"The point is that if it turns out the Bible was written 40 years ago, it couldn't possibly be true, since it claims to be the first hand accounts of those who witnessed Jesus on earth. It's old age doesn't prove it's validity, but it's old age is required for validity."

">Do you believe in transubstantiation? No, that's really a Catholic belief, and I'm not a Catholic. I understand the theology, but I don't agree with it. >Do you believe the virgin Mary bodily ascended into heaven? No, same answer as above. >Do you believe homosexuality to be an abomination? No, it seems to me that the theology used to condemn homosexuality is pretty shaky. There aren't many verses that reference homosexuality at all, in fact, and the ones that do, are always referring to homosexuality accompanied by the same type of immorality that would be an abomination if it happened in a heterosexual context. >Do you believe the world was created 6000 years ago? Not really, I haven't studied the issue almost at all. >What could someone say to make you realise you are wrong? For my faith in general, it would be extremely hard for me to turn my back on my belief that the Christian God exists. It would have to be the revelation that a guy in his basement wrote the Bible in the early..."

"Well, God didn't really create evil, he created goodness. Evil is the absence of good. This is all pretty similar to the way that light and darkness are described in Genesis 1. God doesn't create darkness, he creates light, and then separates it from the darkness."

"As a student with an iPad, it's probably not your best option. If you want to hand draw your notes, you can get a stylus (and you can even get apps that won't be confused by your palm resting on the screen). Unfortunately, you wont have the fine detail you might be used to on a pressure sensitive tablet. This might change if Apple ever allows the pressure API that some developers are working on, but I wouldn't count on it until it actually happens. If there isn't some reason you have to draw your notes, though, I've found the keyboard to be very usable. Obviously school isn't in right now, so I haven't had a chance to try out the iPad for writing a lengthy paper, but I did type up some 3-4 page long journal entries and was fine. After a couple hours I was actually faster on the iPad than a physical keyboard (due to the autocorrect). My hands felt a tad cramped, but not unbearably so, and the hand cramp is probably comparable to the wrist cramp I get from my laptop anyway. As for..."

"PC version, please, if I'm lucky enough to be chosen. About the site: It looks like you have a good start, and I see you're looking for writers, so content isn't an issue yet. I think the layout works, but it's a bit too minimalistic. It makes it kinda hard to find interesting posts. It also looks templatish. If you think it's worth it, I would go with a unique, professional design, or even just a better looking template."

"I'm on the Android and I haven't heard of it. It'd definitely be nice to have, since most of the Android keyboards on the market are beyond awful."

"The UK version of Fight With Tools (with the extra tracks), as well as Johnny 5's EP (unfortunately, pretty hard to even find a good torrent), has some incredible lyrics. They're very well put together, and most songs have pretty deep message such that a Christian would appreciate."

"Thanks for the input! I switched out the mobo, but there's actually a combo deal with the Caviar Black, so I wouldn't save any money by going with the F3. If it's really a better drive, though, I'll do it."

"Hmm, that's strange. You could try running Oblivion in compatibility mode, UOP fixes some really nasty bugs, and mods in general make the game so much better. Whatever you do, I would recommend restarting your game, though, if you really did remove all your mods except Qarl's. edit: or you could use Wrye Bash to fix the save game, but considering you're level 2, it might be more trouble than it's worth, if you're not familiar."

"Because the gamers in the target demographic are different than when the game was first published. Developers think that they can't sell to this generation without toning down the difficulty and hitting the player over the head with non stop action."

"No Psychic Guards and City Stealth Exits wont cause any problems. It's harder to say with the UOP, since it does so much. I would kinda doubt that the UOP is causing a game-breaking bug, though. Perhaps you downloaded a corrupt file somewhere in there?"
