Panorama Paul posted a photo: Okay… since I still don't have anything new to post... here’s yet another Vertorama from my (much too) short stay at the Emerald Lake Lodge in Canada’s Yoho National Park! This is easily the most spectacular landscape that I have ever set my eyes on… the other lakes were very pretty… but Emerald Lake was a real gem!! Nikon D300, Sigma 10-20mm at 10mm, aperture of f11, with a 1/100th second exposure. Click here to check out my Vertorama tutorial.
Fraggle Red posted a photo: Last Nights Sunset, North Miami Beach, FL I couldn't wait for the rain to stop to get out to the lake last night. The light was totally unbelievable and so were the clouds. There was still a lot of lightning in the sky and i spent a good half hour trying to capture the lightning bolts, but they didn't want to be captured, always happened behind me. L Plater posted a photo: Descending a flight of stairs from behind the Catholicon will lead you to the Chapel of St. Helena, owned by the Armenians. The Armenians now hold this chapel in honour of their national saint, St. Gregory the Illuminator. Hence this chapel is known to them as the Chapel of St. Gregory. St. Helena is the mother of Emperor Constantine and is said to have discovered the True Cross as well as the Tomb. On the right of the altar is a small cistern where the Crosses of Jesus and the two thieves are said to be found. Today, many churches possess fragmentary remains of the cross. However many churches debated the authenticity of the cross. I was again separated from our tour group at the far end of the picture. You'll be relieved to learn this is the last posting on the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (but not of Jerusalem).
